It's not mentioned on the web site but if you apply for free membership to the Co-Operative, not only do you get a few members only deals but they will also send you 2 £1 vouchers with your membership card to spend in-store. £5 minimum spend to use the vouchers.

Yes, the new card can be used with the NUS card too as they are separate cards.

Been a member for about 25 years.....
They used to have really good discounts in our local Co-op...which was non-food.
So kids toys, bikes, games etc....
Kitchenware
TVs and DVD players....
I keep getting my honeycomb card swiped when I get a few bits in my small local food store..... but I actually no idea of what benefit I am getting by this.

I work for the group. Basically, the honeycomb card only got you points which contribute towards your dividend payout every half. This happens twice a year, once in June and once in December. With the new 'Co-Op' card, starting from September, you will also receive 5% back of your total spent on Co-Op branded products. An additional 1% will go to a cause which you can choose, this is local to your area. The dividend payment will be reintroduced by 2018. The 5% back you acquire can be saved up and will never expire and you can spend it across any of the groups businesses including food, funeral care, electronics and legal services. If you have any questions, let me know.

Next month they are going to give back 5% back on co-op food products. That will go straight on to your membership card and can be spent at anytime.

Have you received the new Co-Op card or have you got the honeycomb one? Thanks.

Mine had the honeycomb on it but it was a slightly different design to the one I got a few years ago.

it used to be good loyalty card but not anymore. prices are extremely high as compare to others and there is no significant reward for members.
OK. after this £2 voucher, I don't expect significant reward.
discarded my card a year ago after 7 years of membership.
