glad I didn't stay up waiting! Still nothing in the Windows store, but looks like Xbox One users can grab it now

On Windows Store if you type Forza Horizon 3 into the search box top right it shows two listings - Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass.

FH3 currently goes to a "oops not found" page - despite having the logo for the game in the search
The Car Pass page loads correctly, but not yet available to buy.

Hopefully a timing thing and they will be working later once whatever US time zone decides to make them live.

I'm a bit of a Sony fanboy but this game is the reason I've ordered the xb1 slim. Love the forza series, horizon is 1 and 2 were superb.

Yes the 360 version is the old game engine, but xbox one version is the new game engine - looks much better. If you have an xbox one then get the xbox one version.

In case you like driving games, we suggest you download and install the Forza Horizon 3 Free Demo that will be found on both the Xbox Store and Windows Store starting from September 10, 2016. This way, you will be able to test the game, form an opinion and decide if you want to purchase it or not.
Inconsistency of dates in article - possibly it appears in the store earlier, but only playable from 12th?

pre ordered the game already but heard the demo is a good taste of what's to come, limited tasks but open map so you can have a good drive if it's the same demo they tried to break but couldnt shown on youtube. roll on the 27th
