seems to be a deal with these coke zero 500ml being free every other month. Great freebie if you like them, but personally I can't stand the stuff and suspect they sell so little they have to keep having these giveaways to get shot of the stuff.

Zero sugar but zero taste to match, i'll take the sugary unhealthy one any day, and note how they never give away the original coke....

I tried this when it first came out and - like all diet variants - it still had a seriously nasty aftertaste. Sorry, but this isn't even worth it at zero cost.

Asda never accept these because they can be cloned

I'm sure they "try" to give this stuff away free to manipulate the figures so they don't look like they are selling so much bad sugar drinks. Problem is nobody likes the stuff, always discounted as doesn't sell during the shelf life. I love a freebie but wouldn't drink this even if they paid me!

Some don't like it, and of course those people are always right *nod nod* I'm not really a fan of Zero but I'm a fan of free. Unfortunately I didn't see it was Asda... not one close to me. So successful they keep giving it away, if you're motivated enough to take a healthy option over normal coke, surely you take a healthy option rather than chemical cocktail that is Zero! They keep changing the recipe of that successful drink - all while the government threatens to get tougher on the soft drinks market.

If I'd said it contains 99% dihydrogen monoxide it would have made it obvious what I was talking about.

Asda staff definitely need training,I was at the till for 20 minutes, eventually she put it through and charged me 25 pence. There were 2 staff members who were struggling.

That's a fairly moot point isn't it. You might as well have said "forests are dangerous they have bears in them" or "power stations are dangerous they have nuclear reactors in them". You can't really avoid using roads. You can very easily avoid all the others. I personally wouldn't trust Aspartame as far as I could artificially throw it. I see that some are now saying the evidence that it's safe has been cherry picked. I'm keeping my eye on all this as it begins to unravel, although doubtless a multi-billion Nutrasweet industry has enough 'scientists' that are always going to bury or blur the truth. As with anything - you pays your money you make your choice. My choice is not to take the risk thanks.

The only problem you might get is the usual one of asda staff not knowing what to do if you don't have a physical voucher to put in the machine.

i always kept a valid email voucher in my inbox just in case so i could show someone that it clearly states that you can use it on your phone. even though it's officially only meant to be one voucher per person, once you show them the part where it says "show this voucher on your mobile" then they'll usually back off so you can carry on entering the codes.

coke have also confirmed that all asda stores should have been sent an advisory that the vouchers can be accepted on mobiles and that a paper copy isn't needed so you can always hit them with that one as well :smile:

preferred the old coke zero - this tastes more like full-fat coke, which isn't a good thing imo.

same thing happened to me so I told the Asda staff to try again r I would like to speak to the manager, aftrer trying a second time it worked, they just jealous when we try to claim a freebie.

I tried this and it does taste like the full fat furry teeth coke with a dodgy after taste.

Tried this yesterday at manned till. They scanned the barcode and it came up as a wine token? I said clearly says Coke etc but supervisor said to ignore it. I duly replied I am not buying the two I picked up and left at the tills.

Popped over to customer service desk on way out and asked if they were accepting these vouchers and it was suggested because I got two bottles and they had an existing offer on for 2 may be I could not combine both offers. Anyway, they tried with the one bottle and managed to process it (sorry not sure what they had to do but shows clearly not all staff are clued up on this).
