Pokemon GO still seems to be going strong, but for those who prefer a more 'traditional' Pokemon game, there's a new free 'mythical' Pokemon available! For 1-24 August, Arceus will be available from GAME stores, via a redeemable code (must be redeemed by 30 November).
This is for Pokemon X/Y and Pokemon OR/AS on Nintendo 3DS.

The promotion then continues with
- Victini, available 1-24 September via the Nintendo Network
- Keldeo, available 1-24 October via the Nintendo Network

Is there not a code to type in as well? I just got a mew last month by typing "mew2016". Seems a bit of an effort just to go to game. My local store is over an hour away!

Huh, had no clue Game did these regularly. Missed out on loads! Would be nice to get a Victini and Genesect, which I have previously missed out on/had my old DS stolen with the game cartridge inside.

The promotion refreshes monthly, but it's only ocasionally via redemption of codes distributed by GAME (every three months if the current pattern continues to hold). For other months, it's a more straightforward digital download, with no code required. No, I'm afraid that there isn't, or at least, not anything new. The code that you mention isn't specific to any given month AFAIK - certainly it's been available for many months now and probably still remains valid.
If it's well out of your way, I wouldn't suggest making a specific trip to GAME for this unless you're really fanatical about Pokemon - but if you're passing nearby, it's easy to drop in and request a code.

The method for receiving the pokemon varies by month.
The printed code could be handy for Sun & Moon though, as robthereaper mentions.
Heated either way
Don't you just get it using the "receive gift" > "get via internet" option in the game?
