You just need to click the 'Buy it Now' option which does not make you subscribe

My bad; I hit the Read for £0.00 button instead of 'Buy for Free' button (on Android). I based my comment on the fact that in Safari on iPad the second button says 'Buy now' which suggests it isn't free but probably works the same way as Android :/ Thanks to you and the OP :smiley:

Just to note that I was asked to sign up to Kindle Unlimited to get this book which granted gives you a 30 day trial but then costs £7.99 a month. This sort of thing used to have no strings attached ...

Are you being asked to sign up for Kindle Unlimited when you click on "Buy now" link?
Involuntarily, I clicked on the first link without realising it is a "read for £0" one. I then have gone back and clicked on Buy now link; it went through without being asked to sign up. Hope you get yours too withohut the hassle of signing up.
