If I'm looking for audiobooks on Archive I always exclude Librivox in advanced search as the readings can be very poor. Unfortunately there aren't that many left!

Very hit and miss narration but great for lulling one to sleep on a hot, sticky night.

The bitrate of these is on a par with Audible - i.e. very poor. At least being free you're not being mis-sold like Audible do though. Also you have to wade through the "this audiobook was brought to you by" spiel that goes on and on and on and on at the beginning and has you reaching for Audacity to snip that out. Have you really only just discovered this site? I think it's been around since before computers even existed.
