The Amiga was an excellent machine. I had a Saturday job in The Computer Store (small chain of stores up North!) in the late 80's/early 90's and I saved up for months to buy the Amiga Batman bundle for £400 . Those were the days lol

amiga was excellent. I had mine hooked up to my Famicom through a super wildcard.
kick off, California games, the Lucasarts games, great giana sisters, bubble bobble, rainbow island, defender of the crown, it came from the desert.
it was better than the Atari ST (which was better for musicians)

Burn the heretic!
Most of the franchises we have today began their life on the Amiga!
Back when computer games were developed for the love, not the money.
I still can't get that website to work in any of my browsers though; tried chrome, Firefox and IE :/

Still got mine and a load of games. Haven't booted it up in a loooooong time though. I have had to stop it being thrown out a few times too  Maybe I'll find a fanboy that wants to come and buy it!
I upgraded from a commadore 64 to an Amiga.
Lemmings, Double Dragon, R-type..... all bring back memories!!!

Really good. The most popular kid in the village was the one who got an Amiga first. A few birthdays/Christmas later I was super excited to finally have my own, what a machine it was. Great games and I still play the occasional one via WinUAE, but having them available in a browser is sweet.

Anyone else play the Settlers on the Amiga? Awesome game for such a primitive platform compared to what you can get now. Loved my Amiga, 500, then 500+ then 1200.

'Amiga' actually means 'friend' (female friend) - but you guys are not being very friendly.
Just because I didn't like Amiga, no need to diss my opinion, which was honest enough, if not entirely to your liking, fanboys.
Grow up.

You dissed the Amiga, so they dissed your 'crap' opinion of it. Fair enough. But shouldn't diss you personally though. Play the ball not the man.

Those quiz moments, where whatever you answer you lose money! Also, the satisfaction of buying a bunch of rockets at $100 each then selling them for $500, incredible.

Just a few other titles I haven't seen mentioned:
Moonstone, Dungeon Master, Bloodwych, Amberstar, Lords of Chaos, Chaos(public domain), Elite, North and South, Pirates! So many games...
Even Street Fighter 2 was decent (not quite SNES standard mind).

then dont come in to a page where clearly people who played and loved the Amiga would comment and then diss it because you didnt like it. Opinions are fine but you did make it out to be unfriendly towards the amiga. The Troll got Trolled

Bret Hart, Hulk, Warrior, Macho Man, Ted DiBiase and LOD have been in loads of the modern games. Unless you have a particular fondness for IRS, the Natural Disasters and the Nasty Boys, you've been pretty well catered for :P
