Upgraded two laptops to Windows 10 using the 29th July deadline. After switching off nearly all of the recommended telemetry, one thing that I have not worked out is how to selectively only install some windows updates and not others, I have put wifi connection as metered connection so pause the automatic updates but I have yet to work out an easy way like listing all the windows updates like it did before.

Of course its about advertising which is the main drive for microsoft invading our privacy. But that info can also be used and exploited in so many other ways. We just dont know what ways or who exactly has access to it.

I ran through the customise options setting up(most do not) and was shocked at how invasive microsoft are in this new OS. Not to mention the fact theyve taken away the ability to control your updates. This is pure Orwellian madness. Microsoft taken control of peoples lives. They know every little move you make.

Chinese hack your computer and steal your personal information = crime
Someone installs malware on your machine to grab your personal info = crime
Micro$oft / Google Apple installs software which sends your personal information to their servers = perfectly fine in the eyes of most people

Interesting to note that some people use the "disability" card to get a free version of W10. Maybe they qualify because their only disability is a total inability to upgrade before the well publicised deadline!

I have spent all night updating my daughters laptop then found out i missed the upgrade deadline. So thanks instaling right now.

Problem is windows 10 messes up most at and aac software. But good freebie though heat added
