I took my 6 year old to a workshop today after booking it yesterday. The staff didn't know it was happening and didn't have a set plan of what would happen during the 'workshop'. We were the only people there so a staff member took us to see a few animals. My Son was given a work sheet and some stickers before we left.
The website said Goodness knows what that meant but there was no activities or 'products'
All in all... it wasn't anything special and I wouldn't call it a workshop, but it was free and my son got to hold a guinea pig.. so he was happy

It's not useless it's to teach kids that it's not all fun and games with animals! It also teaches them about the animals and which animal would suit kids and what wouldn't!

It's a free activity for your kids, how long do you expect people to look after your kids for?!
I'd also suggest that some children get easily bored so half an hour would be plenty enough.
It's also (probably) designed so that parents can spend half an hour shopping in the store, longer than that and some parents would no doubt consider going out for a coffee or doing the supermarket shopping etc.

I did look to see if it was posted before putting it up, I just had a quick look through that post an I'm not seeing tbh tho it was that long I didn't look through it all, only put it on so people have got somewhere to take there kids for a cheap morning/afternoon out, not deliberately trying to step on anyone's toes
