I dont know which till points were offering it but i saw many shoppers leaving with buckets on their trolleys

Perhaps Tescos are trying to compete with a fast food shop , whose families eat out of a bucket ?

they are left over from a promotion weeks ago, you were supposed to buy 3 branded cleaning products, I think most stores were dumping them weeks ago. I had one about a fortnight ago from the checkout.

so you have to pay for carrier bags, but buckets are free. are they tesco buckets for life?

Yeah we done this few days ago in our store . I work in stock control so i was scared i might made a mistake and caused a huge order lol ..

The promotion was about a fortnight ago for the cleaning event - if you bought any 4 cleaning products you got 25% off them all plus a free bucket. I do occasional work for a promotions company and spent 2 afternoons in the cleaning aisle telling people this and handing out the free buckets! I guess some stores didn't do quite as well with the promoting, and had a heap of buckets left over afterwards!!

Cool,got one for the mother-in-law, just need her to kick it now!:confused:
