Not out until the 28th October but I thought people who don't follow gaming news closely would like to know. Skyrim Special Edition PC free upgrade if you already own Skyrim and all add-ons or own Legendary Edition on Steam.
'Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, Skyrim Special Edition brings the epic fantasy to life in stunning detail. The Special Edition includes the critically acclaimed game and add-ons with all-new features like remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections, and more. Skyrim Special Edition also brings the full power of PC mods to consoles. New quests, environments, characters, dialogue, armor, weapons and more – with Mods, there are no limits to what you can experience.'

Good news! Let's see if I'm tempted to play it for another 300 hours when the time comes.

If you don't know how to drag and drop a few files, or if you're unaware what a .rar file is, then yes there's SO much point to this! :smirk:

do you just wait until oct and will it automatically add to your game?

I don't believe that Bethesda have said yet. My best guess is that it'll show as a free item for redemption, but we'll just have to wait and see for now. Either way, I doubt that it'll be overly complicated.

Is there any point of this on PC? The mods already change the game beyond recognition.

Also for those not aware : fan mods have always been free. So please don't even consider paying if you fail to qualify for this.

Wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda don't put Skyrim on sale between now and October because it equates to a very cheap preorder of the Special Edition when they might have been able to sell it for more to those who havent yet played it
