They'll probably still make a profit from most people using the voucher by the time they buy a drink or 2 / side / pudding. Also if they enjoy it they may visit again, hence why businesses often do free deals like this.

n15hu to zerowing

I don't see why not? As long as your 4 guests have a voucher each. The voucher does state - "One Voucher Per Customer". So I believe that should be fine. Enjoy :sunglasses:

Hi Leer, The survey was posted up a week ago. The free voucher was not included. Here people get the opportunity to print and use the voucher without taking the survey.

So basically, because Handmade Burger made an error and issued a generic voucher to those who completed the survey, you're exploiting the situation by publishing the voucher far and wide with the risk that you'll inflict a lot of financial damage on a fairly small family owned business.
At handmade burger Co. we’re family owned & independent and we’ve been passionate about great, fresh, natural food since 2006.
Hope you're proud of yourself!

As a follow-up to the above, I hope they'll protect themselves from financial damage by asking to see the email confirming the survey entry to accompany the voucher.
It's their only hope against the fraudulent vultures on here.

30 Jun 16#10
Uh, so I pressed on "Get Deal" and it opened an image without much to it. I also tried their website and nothing about a free burger, neither was Google much helpful.
So how can I get that free burger?
n15hu to Spasho
30 Jun 16#11
So was you able to see the voucher for a free burger once you pressed the Get Deal button? Once you see the voucher, you'll need to print the voucher. Take the paper voucher to your local Handmade Burger Co and exchange it for the burger of your choice.
But there's no specific number for each customer. That's what made me wonder.
n15hu
30 Jun 161#13
That's correct you just print the voucher from that URL.
Not sure if you read one of the earlier comments in the this post? But someone used 6 of these vouchers for himself and his 5 guests at the same venue at the same time. So there isn't a specific voucher per customer. Perhaps they need to do that in future? So that there is a specific, unique barcode/QR code per customer.

I've tried to encourage a lot of homeless people that struggle with food and money to use helpful sites such as HUKD to allow them to use these type of food or non-alcoholic drink vouchers. They use library computer's across the UK and get an free hour to access various deals across. The money they get they can spend it on printing these vouchers which will provide them with good food for survival on the streets.

Oh someone actually posted a deal 1 week ago to complete this survey for free burger. The survey was closed yesterday.
Major respect. When I was at Uni, I would usually print vouchers and get the freebies from whatever store you could, because I was in a central locations everything was accessible, and then get the items and usually distribute to those homeless on the street. Great way to help others out.

Thank you. It's a small thing to do really but it helps them gain a little bit of confidence and independence to stand up on their own two feet and try and help themselves.

I kind of agree exploitation isn't right but Handmade Burger Co really aren't all that. Their customer service is pretty poor and when you actually visit a branch it's just 'another faceless soul-less burger restaurant', the food is OK but it doesn't feel all that special. Point I'm making is a lot of companies try that 'family owned' tagline when they're not really any more and they're also not small either!

My husband and I both did the survey last week. Received the vouchers last night (on a second email after the first had the wrong voucher) and happened to have the day off, so went to Meadowhall for our free burgers this afternoon.
Only been to this restaurant once before, and that was a few years ago - I wasn't impressed then as the burger was too burnt for my liking, but figured I'd give it another try.
The staff were fantastic and the food (as far as burgers go!) was amazing - I had the Mexican and it was really tasty. I asked them to do a bit less chargrilling so there were less black bits, and it was cooked perfectly. Also found the staff really friendly, and enjoyed the fact that it was real Coke with refills available.
We were the first people that they had come across with these vouchers - we spent about a tenner with drinks etc, so they probably didn't make a profit but I wouldn't think they'd have made much of a loss. The total without voucher would have been £25ish.
So, basically by giving me a really good quality freebie, they've gained a couple of customers who will definitely return in the future and spend full price that they wouldn't have had before. Everyone wins! However for people printing out multiple copies and using them again and again...nope.

The original offer (fill in a survey) was posted on this site for all to see - it really was quite a simple process.
Both myself and my wife filled it in legitimately and honestly and were looking forward to using the vouchers this weekend on a day out (our nearest restaurant is a round trip of 100 miles so it tied in nicely with a planned shopping expedition). That small pleasure has now been removed through greed and laziness.
Why was there then a need to post the actual voucher? Everybody had a chance to fill out the survey. Talk about spoonfeeding!
Of course the company will remove the offer if they are inundated (read the T&Cs).
If a person cannot be bothered to follow the correct process, which wasn't exactly taxing, then why should they jeopardise an offer for others?
I am reminded of the regular articles one sees in the national press by people revealing the secrets of how they fed their whole town for a year for £1.72 and a button. They then complain that for some strange reason their local Tesco is packed to the rafters every Saturday, just at the time the staff member appears with the reduction gun.
Oh well, off to complete my OU course in rocket science now.

2 Jul 161#79
Don't worry. They will still accept the genuine vouchers. Just been (Birmingham, Brindley Place) and they only ask for the email aswell to confirm you were genuinely issued the voucher for completing the survey. I think this is fair enough. First time been there and though the burgers are dear ordinarily, they were easily the best burgers we have ever eaten. Bought some chips and a beer to go with it and I was completely satisfied.
MrBeansDrivingInstructor
2 Jul 161#80
I think that some people may be missing the point ever so slightly. Passing on a good offer/voucher/freebie is one thing but encouraging people to use an offer whilst ignoring the T&Cs is completely different. The voucher was offered to people who completed a legitimate survey, as clearly stated on this very site. Just because the company did not then provide individually numbered vouchers is not an excuse to hand them out willy nilly. It's a bit like finding a purse in the street and justifying helping yourself to the contents because somebody was "stupid enough to have left it there in the first place". Beggars belief!
Oh well. Back to me rocket science studies now.

3 Jul 161#85
Because using a voucher which has been stupidly put out there by a huge profitable business so easily for the public to use for a free BURGER is the same as thieving money and possessions from someones purse they have lost in the street. You are what's wrong with today's society. So much logic! It's quite clear now what kind of people we are dealing with here on this topic. Someone's just clearly upset they filled out a survey and didn't get their free burger :disappointed: I hope you feel better soon.
