As part of EA's celebration plans for May 4--known as Star Wars Day--the company will offer a four-hour free trial for Star Wars Battlefront on PC. On that day, you will be able to play as much as you want for four hours.
The free trial will be available on May 4 through Origin starting at 11 AM PST. However, you won't have access to any of the DLC that's currently available.
4 hours will be more than enough too ;)

The game gets dull very fast once you notice the lack of progression. 4 hours is a good time to get people hooked before they realise!

I've just played ten minutes of the trial and not overly impressed. will stick with battlefield 4.

Dont get me wrong. I played the Beta and I loved it. Because there wasn't any OP guns in the Beta. But the full game is filled with OP guns and the game doesn't feel like the Star Wars atmosphere it should have been.

Just wondering about this. Is it a 4 hour free trial that can be played anytime until it expires? (Which appears to be the norm) or literally just a 4 hour period to download and play in?
As others have said, where I'm currently living my broadband would take that long to download that amount of data lol
On saying that, the game is down to £17.09 from at least trusted source at the mo. Given that it sounds like you'll need the Season Pass to truly benefit from the game, and I'm sick of season pass rip offs, they can keep their demo :-)

This title is undeserving of the name BattleFront - it insults the memory of the earlier games.
It's a blatant Star Wars cash-grab. With huge buy-in-price and half the content as DLC, it'll take your wallet to the dark side.
The vehicles are on rails and a timer, so no driving AT-ATs for more than a few seconds. There's no space battles. There's nothing from Episode 7.
The game is a graphically superb car crash. Beautiful to see, pointless to play.
A massively wasted opportunity. Better to grab BattleFront 2 from Steam for £7 and one of the many graphics update mods, like BatteFront Evolved. You can then get all the content and maps you could wish for free.

It's 37.9 GB on my drive mete. I have been playing it like mad for the first couple of days after the purchase. Haven't got back to it since.

Will it be like a 30GB download? It would take me longer than 4 hours just to download on 'normal' ADSL. :disappointed: And then it will just sit there taking up space on my HDD after 4 hours?

The reason I am being mean is because when one of the previous Origin giveaways went live my deal was voted hot but the mods deleted it because someone else with only a few votes posted it a few weeks back. Most likely the same will happen to your thread. Hot but somehow against the rules.
