I recently found out about a free online Genealogy course over 6 weeks held by the University of Strathclyde, so thought I would share details of the company that introduced me to this course, which was excellent. They have a long list of all types of courses, such as Business Management, Language & Culture, History, Law, Literature, Sports & Leisure, Teaching and Studying, and many more - all FREE.
A bit about them from their website:
We offer a diverse selection of courses from leading universities and cultural institutions from around the world. These are delivered one step at a time, and are accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop, so you can fit learning around your life.
We believe learning should be an enjoyable, social experience, so our courses offer the opportunity to discuss what you’re learning with others as you go, helping you make fresh discoveries and form new ideas.

Thanks for this OP. applied for two courses and it did say £60 for the certificate and transcript which is well worth it.
Does anyone know if there is any free logistics or transport planning courses as I would really like one of those and am looking..couldn't find any here..

It can if you only want to learn for interest, but if you want to learn to put it on a CV you need the cert. Coursera does the same thing, but to be fair they have to make money somehow to fund the entire process.

I know it's a little off topic, but if you enrol on one of these courses, would you be entitled to apply for an NUS card?

I did purchase the certificate (although yet to receive it) and it cost me £35.20 including postage and VAT, You do not have to purchase a certificate if you do not want to, so the cost can be nil.

The certificate are only to show that you have participated. Not any benefit other than a record for you. No matter what the charge surely having just received hours of free education it would be okay to give something back? IMHO of course

hi @adamwilko007 what do you mean certs are expensive? and by expensive how much are we talking? I'm interested as I'm not very good around alot of people being agoraphobic so an online course would suit me fine heat added. :-)
