Seeing as it says balance, allowance and credit, I'm guessing you're Pay As You Go? This is Pay Monthly only

Or, get in a WiFi zone and make an international phone or video call through Facebook for free.
30 minutes isn't long either. Especially seeing as you probably haven't spoke to a long distance friend/relative for ages.

£45 worth lol.. actual value is 45p to India. cheap tactics by EE i would say. People forget how many minutes they used and they over run and get a hefty bills.

One has to be naive and ignorant to think it is like up to £45. There is no need to cut and paste like an EE paid salesman, be realistic of typical market rates on HOTUKDEALs, you are not an EE salesman, I repeat. It is £1.50 or so, between 1p to 2p a minute, even at 5p a minute for the full whack is £7.50. Just look at those Giffgaff rates, o2 International SIM rates, Skype Out, Viber rates out, and even the EE's own PAYG internation SIM.

£45 worth of calls for free?
I work in wholesale telecommunications - where the price of bulk termination of international voice traffic to all of the listed destinations costs less than 1p per minute. I find it almost unbelievable that anyone would pay £45 to make international calls on an EE phone.
For those who want to make large volumes of international calls there are Lebara/Lycatel/Mundio Mobile SIMs which will offer such termination at a fraction of the cost.

Thank you OP! Still working! And whether it's 45p or £45 is irrelevant, it's 30 min free to your chosen country with a reliable connection, so thank you

I know you get 30 odd minutes totally free with this deal but for all the folks who are paying more than 1 pence per minute to make international calls on a regular basis, your best bet is to get an 08 calls "add on" on your EE sims. The add on costs £3 per month and it gives you 300 minutes to call 08 numbers. This add on can be cancelled at anytime. You can then use those additional 300 minutes to make international calls via http://www.makefreecalls.co.uk. Visit my thread here for more information about this fantastic service.
Below is what you need to do:
1. Text 08MINS to 150 from your EE pay monthly sim. Visit EE website here and scroll down to "Make savings if you call 084 or 087 numbers regularly".
2. Once you get a confirmation text from EE that your add on has been added to your account then you use the MakeFreeCalls service to speak to your friends and family abroad at a cost of 1 pence per minute.
In most cases, calls to 0870 numbers are FREE from Landlines. They are also free from Virgin mobile and if you are with Vodafone then you can get the same add on as above for £2.50 per months which gives you 300 minutes to call 08 minutes.
Opening post
All you have to do is text CALL FREE to 150 from your EE PAYM phone.
Basically getting up to £45 worth of calls for free!
