For the people talking about achievements, as its another clash of clans clone its probably going to be a long grindy list. Their last game Battle Islands takes several days/weeks/months to complete (About 60-80 in game hours)

I'll second that. It's the only FTP game I've actually spent money on.
That's not how it works with Xbox. Preorders list the price if charged for or state that they are free if they are free. Plus, the studios previous game (Battle Islands) was FTP too.

Aside from games with gold, are there any other free games on the xbox one store worth picking up?

How can you tell it's free? Preorders on sky are free until release date then you're charged full price for the item. How's this any different unless I'm blind haha!!
