Not sure if this is a serious comment or not but I'm gonna clarify the real meaning behind Reddit Gold. Along with adverts, Reddit Gold helps to pay for servers and running the website. It's completely optional and you can have an equally enjoyable experience on the website without it. Sometimes people can gift gold to you for a particularly special contribution.
