can you get a job from doing this course?

You'd need to have passed the exam & have experience. It may help if you're starting out & get a call centre support role. If you have experience, something a bit further up the ladder.

webmonkey Cenobite is right if you want to break into IT, during and after this course just
read a lot...read a lot
practice...practice on the GNS a lot
read a lot...read a lot
practice...practice again on the GNS a lot and again...
Then happy as a help desk on the 1st line basis if you can put on the CV you have studied and got a CCNA you are bound to get a job some where. Initially don't worry about the rates as agency do tend to take advantage of a starter but once you have put your foot in the door and shown your self to the client you're going to work for they will want to keep you if it's a permanent job.
If you are going to work as a IT contractor then you can still show your self to the client you never know they might be working on another project and will want to utilise your skills in it.
This is the only way you can gain the skills required to excel your self.
Good luck!!!

I did, though I was very shattered afterwards so I am planning to have a nap now before the next one tonight :innocent: I thought it was really good, hoping to make it to all of the sessions!

Cenobite I agree the books are a bit pricey. But on the drop down list you can see there are labs/recordings/fault finding
all for £60 and for some one serious can grab all these and also get help from Joe via email for any thing he/she wants to ask.... I think as a package it is quite good. As the side effect of studying this will be a good career if one attains CCNA and then can make a good speech why he/should be hired what can the individual can give the company back from his skill set etc.

Yeah, just follow the link. You can buy ebooks too, but for ebooks I think they're a little pricey.

Joe's courses are pretty good. Nice guy, knows his stuff & he makes an often dry subject quite upbeat. Times are too late for me, but I think I'll buy the videos.
Only negative is the price of the books. If the top package was 30 quid, he'd have a sale. :sunglasses:

Ah, you beat me to it.
These courses have been run before and people have given good feedback.
That said, I can't make that time on Monday night, so it's not for me.
As for the course content, CCNA is one of the industry standard qualifications (Cisco networking).
Oh, and you can't practice this on your home network, but there is a free simulator called GNS which will do a lot of it: http://www.hotukdeals.com/freebies/free-networking-simulator-supplement-ccna-training-2432275

16 Apr 16#10
Thank you for reminding me.
Those who want it total free can use GNS to practice in. Nowa days 99% of networking is done remotely and any breakage will be replaced by site engineer for you to configure it to original settings.

Thank prowla1 for your feed back
Re the hours for the course I am sure you realise it is 12.30am to 2am.
If you can't make it on Mon. (Like I might not be able to make this Thurs. Morning) but can others don't worry you will still be able to catch a lot from the other sessions and will be able carry on if you revise the missing topics and will be able to practice on the link you have provided for GNS and most important of all anything you don't understand you can still ask Joe.
I hope you join.

Sorry to say this will not be a recording it is actually Joe sitting it out at 12.30am -2am and he will be there to answer any Q. you may have live. and if he is not exhausted he will stay on sometimes up to 30min after each sessions. He is great.
I hope you have registered and enjoy it.
The recording will be available when he has edited it and released later in the week for the nominal fee, when I say nominal it is negligible compared to others.

This is Cisco CCNA, talks about subnets/protocols/routers/switches etc, its the kind of thing you're either into or not.
I've done a few of Joes courses in the past and they are VERY GOOD, luckily I've done the CCNA and passed in the past, well worth it , even if you're only going to be dealing with the server side as these help troubleshooting

If you are new to IT then
It is a part of the network which you need to communicate with your remote, or internal of the same building in your company and also rest of the world. Take for e.g. you are using the internet it is using these networks.
If your question is just about this course then
It is a full breakdown of Cisco networking to make sure you pass the CCNA and Joe will be there for you to make sure you understand. If you are new IT and this will be your first break in to learning something and see if it is for you I say Go For It.

You are so right, now a days if you are going as a Infrastructure Eng. you will need the skills in Cisco networking for as you said it will help you in trouble shooting.
One with Cisco/CCNA compared one with not has more chance of being called by the agency/company head hunters.
