Inspired by the incredible true story, EDDIE THE EAGLE is the must-see feel-good British comedy of the year. Michael "Eddie" Edwards (Taron Egerton), is the unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself - even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of a nation by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. From the producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude. Adored by critics and audiences alike, Eddie is the hilarious comedy that will warm your heart this year.

Tickets go extremely quickly but if you check back nearer to the time, any returns/cancellations are put back up on the site. Or there may be more issued under a different code, or for different cinemas. I've been with SFF for a few years and haven't had any issue with spam.

From what I've heard of the film, its typical of the "based on a true story" genre, in that reality and fiction are rather intertwined. Although if that's what it took to get a film based on his story, it is probably forgivable in this case.

Saw it last night. Thought it was good. Agree - definitely worth watching on a freebie.

Watched a preview last night, I really enjoyed it. It's not the funniest movie in the world, it's just a good heart warming story, where the little man triumphs against adversity. If it wasn't based on a true story you would think the story/plot was a load of far fetched nonsense
Definitely worth a watch on a freebie. The cinema in Bolton was a good 60-70% full, which for a Monday night at 6.30pm wasn't too bad, so would imagine Sunday morning might even be a little busier. Enjoy
