Just had an email about this might be of interest to some people and to keep an eye out for it. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is an invitation for Windows 10 PC gamers to join millions of Forza players worldwide and experience thrilling racing, addictive gameplay and stunning graphics.

For the uninitiated, here's a little primer on why you shouldn't buy/play games via the Windows Store.
I'm really happy to see Forza finally make it's way to the PC after seeing hints of it for years, there apparently was a PC version of Forza 5 but it never made it to release.
At the same time I'm REALLY worried since they have taken the IMHO very bad decision to make it free that it will be a horrible pay wall blocked mess of borderline mandatory micro transactions a lot of these free games turn out to be.
But i really hope they will prove me wrong....

Wow this is great to know although it would've been better if this were also available on Steam than Windows Store. Maybe next they'll release Halo III-V on PC.

[quote=slharbron]“At Xbox, we believe gamers should be able to play the games they want, with the people they want, on the devices they want,” Spencer said. “We are making that vision a reality by bringing more of the biggest Microsoft Studios franchises to Windows 10 starting this spring.”
Dear Mr Spencer, I would like to play Microsoft Games on my Playstation

I think he is saying that i will be an Xbox One port and they won't put in the effort to get the max out of the PC graphical power

Lets face it, MS are gonna make these "releases" as bad as possible in a vain effort to try to get PC owners to get an XB1.
Great strategy.
Would buy GOW in heartbeat to play it in 4K but no SLI support tho, so no dice.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha..........

On the contrary, it's to get PC gamers to switch to Windows 10 and to drum up support for the Windows Store, which they have several titles lined up for later in the year, in an attempt to rival Steam (a vain attempt IMO but that's by the by).

"This Spring" is a bit vague for the release date - doesn't that mean any time between 20th March and 20th June? Doesn't it also make this posting somewhat premature since I can't actually download the game for possibly over 3 months? I suspect we'll need another HUKD Freebies posting when it does actually get released :-)

This is tempting to upgrade to Windows 10 even if it is a watered down version of Forza 6....but I'm still skeptical about Windows 10's REAL purpose especially with all the privacy tracking

According to an [article] in The Guardian it is a free to play taster and that subsequent Forza titles will be released on both PC and console.
Along with [rumours] the next Halo could be coming to PC if history repeats itself with the Xbox One like it did with the 360 there is very little reason for any multi format owners to want an Xbox One, especially looking at the underwhelming [2016 'exclusive' lineup] of which some of them will be also be released for Windows 10.

I was just thinking along the same lines. I just hope it's not another Need for Speed World :disappointed:

On the other hand it's free so who really cares about all that.

I haven't gone SLI and bought a 55" 4K tv to play console games in 1080p through my PC..
Not even able to use my monitors native rez either at 3440 x 1440 as the "store" doesn't currently support it.
They are supposed to be working on the SLI/21:9 issues so there is light at the end of the tunnel. There isn't any wheel support either which is sad as i have just bought my first wheel for Assetto Corsa.
I understand that not everyone has high-end set PC setups like myself but still :disappointed:
I know people like to get their deals in first, so they get that all important heat...! But what is the point in posting before its available, its not like I need to prepare myself and I'll probably just forget by the time it arrives. Would make a lot more sense to post when its released.

This is great and it's free. Despite what you think about Microsoft gimping games in the store, there is no way you will get forza via steam so shutupayaface and get your racing gloves on!
