Rock legend Marianne Lane is recuperating on the volcanic island of Pantelleria with her partner Paul when iconoclast record producer and old flame Harry unexpectedly arrives with his daughter Penelope and interrupts their holiday, bringing with him an A-bomb blast of nostalgia from which there can be no rescue. A BIGGER SPLASH is a sensuous portrait of desire, jealousy and rock and roll, under the Mediterranean sun. SFF code 930266

Well I left myself very frustrated and disappointed after being set to leave to go to the Picturehouse Central location in good time to then lose my house key, spend 40 minutes looking for it, find it in a ridiculous location and arrive 15 minutes late to be told the venue was full (understandably). Was left kicking myself but hope everyone else enjoyed it.

It was a bit of a strange one. I'm glad to have seen it, but I won't be rushing to recommend it to everyone.
I did enjoy the opportunity to hear the Q&A with Guadagnino and Swinton at the end, as we saw it at the Picturehouse Central.
I was far more taken with Trumbo, which we were lucky enough to see last week.

So what did you think of the film?

A lucky treat for those attending the Picturehouse Central location. As director Luca Guadagnino and actress Tilda Swinton will be partaking in a Q&A after the screening.

Has anyone seen any email invites from SFF recently..? I've only had one in the last couple months, along with their newsletters, which don't seem to have any codes in them..

Why is Stratford East has not been participating, Trumbo had no show in St East PH either.... Saw it on Sun. When we got there with couple of mins to go, there was a Q I thought we missed it and they was a high turn out, apparently the guy saw the printed A4 ticket and called us to the front, I only realised later the Q was for people who turned up to pay for the Tickets if there was a low turnout, at 11a,m exactly the screen was very nearly full only a few seats I could see in the dark... so only a few of guys waiting in thew Q were let in.....
Wow the film was absolutely brilliant and TBH although I had heard of some of the films he SP'd I didn't know about the guy who he was what his struggle was..... so go and watch it, if you haven't got MeerCat or bought the Groupon Odean voucher in advance then there is a new 2for1 I can't remember which one but some one on HUKD may be shed some light on it
