RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 TTP Demo
The free RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 TTP Demo allows you to play the full game for 1 hour. However, OpenRCT2 removes this 1 hour time limit. By removing this limit you can enjoy the full RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 experience (via OpenRCT2) without buying the game. We still recommend you to buy the game in order to support Chris Sawyer. It's not that expensive.
Instructions
Download and install the latest OpenRCT2 build.
Don't run the game yet.
Remember where you installed OpenRCT2 to.
The default location on Windows is C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenRCT2.
Download the RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 TTP Demo as an EXE-download (412.61 MB) or as a ZIP-download (532.28 MB).
Extract/copy the demo files to your OpenRCT2 installation directory.
Now run openrct2.exe to play the full game.

There's a big difference between a free game and a sneaky way of playing the game without paying for it.
Not free! "An installation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is required in order to play OpenRCT2".

You can have it for free - see this link - completely legitimately. But as the site says, the game is so cheap these days please consider buying it - it's a classic and to think RCT was done by one guy is amazing.

I don't think people realise what this is...
It's a source port, they've created a new game engine to run the game on modern systems like Linux using the original game assets (graphics, sound etc). The new engine is free, the assets aren't.
It doesn't seem to be very useful to you if you're a Windows user as you can just buy and download it from GOG, Steam etc and run it as it is. If you want to cheat the hour limit on the demo, you're effectively pirating it anyway so you might as well just download the DRM-Free GOG release from Piratebay or any of the other torrent sites that your favourite fascist government has attempted to ban.
Then either learn or don't use a computer. Would you try to drive a car if you hadn't bothered to learn to use it? If you can't be bothered to learn really basic things for the purpose of gaming, computers probably aren't for you.

boothy999

Nope but I'm voting cold because the so called deal isn't available for people who are not very techy.

And a Scrabble deal isn't available for people who aren't good with words, so why wouldn't you vote that cold?

I can use a computer just fine thanks although using it to illegally download game isn't my strong point. Surely this is against HUKDs rule. I'm going to report this post!

If you want something that's really free, keep an eye on this project:
