This android app by Google has been around for a while but I haven't seen it posted before.
I was a bit skeptical about answering surveys for money but don't be put off! Takes a few mins for each survey of 3 questions on average.
I've earned £5.70 credit over a few weeks. Just remember to answer the surveys truthfully as some of the questions are there just to check if you're awake!
**From description from Play Store**
Answer quick surveys and earn Google Play credits with Google Opinion Rewards, an app created by Google Consumer Surveys.
Getting started is easy. Download the app and answer basic questions about yourself. We'll then send you surveys around once a week, although it may be more or less frequent. You'll get a notification on your phone when a short and relevant survey is ready for you, and can receive up to £0.60 in Play credits for completing it. Questions can range from, "Which logo is best?" and "Which promotion is most compelling?" to "When do you plan on traveling next?"

I've had it since release and accumulated about 19£ worth. Spent my credit on whatsapp subs and random 10p apps that show up on here. There were probably only about 3 proper apps I bought. Not much to spend your free credit on tbh lol

Usually the survey just asks if you've visited a shop and, if so, what was your experience out of 1 to 5 stars, not a lot you can lie about, apart from your shopping experience, which they surely won't know the answer to?

best way to get the surveys is to have your location on, as they ask questions about what shops you been to. when out and about town that's when most of mine come in.

Whilst it's great that it exists at all, I don't get anything like the amounts people on here seem to manage to get from it. I might have gotten 'maybe' £10 over about a years use, and even then I think I'm being generous. Still £10 more than I would have had so not a complaint perse but just a note that your mileage may vary.
I suspect the location aspect of it means that the amount of surveys you get will probably depend on how regularly you travel in your day to day routine (shopping trips particularly). As I don't drive nor travel very often and do the vast majority of my shopping online, that would explain why I'm not getting many surveys with it compared to other people on HUKD....

I got about £7 in 9 months. I tend to get more surveys if I make a shopping trip into town with location services switched on. They even asked specific questions about a hotel I stayed in. I guess they saw i stayed in one place all night which is a bit creepy. the surveys often only require you to answer a single question so very quick and easy if you don't mind google watching you.

I get around two surveys a day normally asking if I have visisted one of the following listed retailers that they show and then I am asked to rate it out of 5 stars and normally get 20p-30p a question. I do however go shopping daily and visit both Morrisons and ASDA which I seem to get in the survey most days of the week. This is probably because I have Google location history turned on and surveys normally state they are asking questions based on my location history. So if you want more surveys make sure location history is turned on and you are doing plenty of shopping

I think they look for a certain demographic. At a guess I would say they generally send more surveys to older people.
My mum in her 60's gets a few surveys a week and has so far accumulated £43.58 since April 2014.
On the other hand, I hardly get any surveys and have only amassed £8.03 during the same period.
As for the lying about the answers and Google banning you, I don't believe that at all. My mum tends to just fill random answers for some of the questions. Especially for services or products she doesn't use or buy.

29 Dec 15#33
Google will not ban you per se, only offer you fewer surveys in the future as you are deemed as unreliable. Unless you keep track of your lies, they will eventually catch on like when they re-ask you the same questions with slightly different answers to choose from. Unless it's changed, they will inform you when this happens.
As Jiggy Jiggy says, they target certain demographics just like any marketing survey, i.e. pet owners, smokers, homeowners, low/high income etc. I've noticed older females get better rewards than me on the same surveys.

I usually completely lie on the surveys - stating everything is great and I do everything they are asking me about. On the few times I tell the truth, the survey often ends quickly after 1 or 2 questions and I get a measly 10p credit, whereas I get 2 or 3 times that amount if I lie. On rare occasions, a survey might ask you what a previous answer was to see if you can remember your fib or not :-)

I can't recall ever having a trick survey where I haven't visited, or at least walk past, one of the retailers listed in the survey. I can't honestly see Google asking pointless questions about a retailer you haven't visited just to try and catch you out.
Topper1900

I'm calling BS on that suggestion as there seems no way transferring the money into your bank account and the app T&C's clearly state rewards can only be spent in the Play Store.

I have found, living in a town near all the shops that I get a survey the day after I visit shops / walk through the town. If I give an answer saying I've visited none of the shops i get 6p. If I have visited a shop I get the when and then a rating option which can lead to up to 40p. Being in / near a town certainly improves your results.

It's not 'free money'.
1. You had to work for it, and therefore it's taxable.
2. You won't pay any tax, because it's not actually money; it's credit to access specific products on a specific website.
