These never work - many of these freebie codes have been posted before but only a select few who have been invited get the free allowance/credit anyway :disappointed:

Done on my ee sim and tmobile sim got the texts to confirm thank you

Didn't get a text from them but just sent one to 1230 and it said ill hear from them in 10 days. If only i saw this sooner and i could have loaded up many ee cards :/

Got the 'will be in touch' so hope it's worked. Had one saying text DATA to the same number for 1 Gb data that will be added to your mobile plan by 29/01/2016, then lasts 14 days,. Didn't try as I would rather have the fiver and don't want to risk messing it up!

same here, fingers crossed. it'll be linked to some Nigerian texting scandal knowing my luck and that text has just cost me £5000 sterling!!

Just tried on a T-Mobile SIM and I got the reply, We'll be in touch within 10 days.

Tried it on an old PAYG sim with 8p credit left. We'll see!

If I do get the credit any idea if it expires after a certain time or is it just like a regular topup?
Did they send any T&Cs?

any way to do this when out of the uk on roaming? eg, impossible to text/call 150 to get balance as it directs to the local 150 service number. no way of adding this when logged into account online?

I've got the same message and no credit was added. its not an instant process. As it says in the text, you'll have to wait a while for the £5 to be credited on you account.

Meh. I tried it anyway and got a text back saying 'Thanks, we'll be in touch within 10 days to let you know when your free credit is ready'.

Is this just for PAYG or does it credit a fiver to your contract bill as well? Sounds good!
