So you have to enter your email address, mobile phone number and home address and then it will tell you if your details have been stolen by anyone?

for those of you guys who are not sure whether the site is genuine, here is a small google search:
I am sure all these websites would link a spammer site where the author is not trustworthy

This website is an intelligence test and if you put your email address in there you have failed it.

love the way people can come up with ideas... If you have a look above both the guy and the the registered domain are traceable. I do not think that any spammer would risk this considering the fines in USA. Anyway, feel free to not use the site to test your email however I would avoid speaking about level of intelligence and technical skills

Exactly how are you supposed to search to see if your email address is out there unless you type in your email address !!!
You don't have to use it if you don't want but I'm glad I did.

Soon as I read the title, that's exactly what I thought!
"Have I been pwned?"
"Well you have now!"

Get ready to use your 'spam' button.....I've all of a sudden become more popular with windows companies, life assurance and mis-sold PPI...strange!

Very strange indeed !
And very very fast to become more popular with windows companies, life assurance and mis sold PPI, all within 24 hours.
These spammers must be amazingly efficient, or perhaps there is no link between this tool and the spam you would have gotten anyway.

I think they are using search engines. Try Googling "youremailaddress" would bring up more results including exactly where you have been pwned.

This is not the case. My email address does not come up in a google search but does via this tool.

You can put usernames in too. It doesn't require an email. They can't 'harvest' usernames because they don't even know what site they relate to.

hmmm... a very old account I had has a breach courtesy of Adobe. Always good to know that you can trust big business
BTW: this isn't 100%. I had an EA account breached and the email account I used comes up as clean. The "stolen user data and then published it online" is the key detail here.
