For those out there that have a lot of time and patience (as well as 54 sheets of paper for the R1M) this has got to be a seriously cool thing to do....
All the details are on the link above, even the pictures look great - I just wish I had the time to do it. Plus once you have completed the model why not try one of the many others (such as the MT-01 or VMAX) here.... http://global.yamaha-motor.com/yamahastyle/entertainment/papercraft/ultra/
Alternatively there are models non motor related things, scenes from Japan etc.
Actually these would even make quite a nice gift.... if I got one I'd be really grateful....
I'll probably print it all and then give up after an hour.

Was hoping they provided the paper :/ Still hot, gotta buy some more printer ink. Anyone know if just regular paper or thicker paper needed?

I started making an A380 paper plane. Downloaded and printed the sheets. Everyday I started the building working 1 hour a day. A week later I managed to make the cockpit. The next day, I woke up to see my sister sat on my work unintentionally. After that, I said screw this.

Yamaha have published many free paper models over the years. These are very complicated models for the experienced crafter. Thicker paper is good.
I have downloaded many, then looked at how much work involved and not printed them out. These need many many hours to complete. Very good luck to anyone brave enough to try. You are much braver than I.

Finally got mine done.
Looks and rides different to the one Yamaha claims, never the less here it is,

Thanks for posting this, I had no idea these sorts of things existed but they look fun!
I don't think I'll be tackling the Ultra Realistic ones (prob cost me £50 in printer ink!) but I might tackle a less complex "realistic" one. I'm considering this one.

This Youtube video is of a stop-motion animation of someone making one of these... It'll will certainly give you a good feel for the difficulty involved. You might want to turn the tedious soundtrack off though.
