Just picked up a lovely 5ft cut needle last Norman fir including base for free at Evesham homebase, was originally £30. Member of staff said it was national. Looks great quality, they were outside the store with a sign saying free to take away.

There are still many out there that cannot afford to pay £30 for a real tree along with the rest of the "stuff" you need to buy for Christmas. So I'm sure this will make quite a few families happy for Christmas. Well done to Homebase.

Wow that's cool - they must have stocked plenty of them - which didn't sell out and now they have to pay to despose them off, so they are giving it out for free

I'm a Homebase colleague and this isn't happening at our store...real Xmas trees can't be reduced arm unless they have been damaged!

most people have already got trees up unless you are a person who loves 'owt for nowt'. Homebase probably want shut to save on chucking them. I would have rushed out to get one a couple of weeks back but im not sure who wants to start decorating a tree 4 days before xmas.

I'm a homebase collegue & were not doing it. As far as I no all the trees left over are returned apart from the potted ones which will probably be reduced Christmas eve.

But a good decision would be to give Homebase collegues free basic English lessons for Christmas.

Save a fortune on Xmas - convert to Islam, Judaism, Hinduism or Buddhism.
Then you have no need to buy Xmas trees or any of the paraphernalia of this time of year, with none of the commercialist guilt that goes with it :stuck_out_tongue:
