Costa Coffee in Swansea city center are opening up for a few hours on Christmas day for the homeless. With two NHS nurses there to offer medical help and Costa will feed them as well, gifts are already been donated by customers. There are stories that really restore your faith in humanity.

Local councils throughout the country should support this kind of thing. Get together with local businesses and arrange something for the needy and less fortunate as well as the lonely.

Costa have only one reason for doing it and that's P R the rest of the year they will have the homeless moved away from their door by police, that's when they aren't too busy avoiding paying tax which could be spent on better social services!!! not one of these companies are doing this for purely altruistic reasons, because these people will be forgotten for another year if they live that long. Before anyone decides to jump down my throat I am speaking from experience and other than when its freezing cold or Christmas people ignore the problem

PR they did this on the quiet, it was only when the local paper were informed that there was a story put on the SWEP website. They did this on their own backs mate not for PR, some like the organizers in both Swansea and Paisley actually care. If helping people is considered a PR stunt then i am lost for words. Its also insulting to those who do help in this way. 365 days a year help the homeless do not ask them to be removed from their door and generally are welcoming. They have given their christmas day to help. Would you do the same? That tax argument is getting old now as well. Get a sense of perspective will you.
