How does it know if you're re-installing? When registering with the key does it dial back to the developers' site? If so won't the key be unique for each install?

EaseUS Data Recovery worked perfectly for me and got even more data than I would've expected to. Never used this one though.

You can try it if you want to but I won't touch it with a bargepole. The last time I tried installing this it crashed during the install. When I rebooted I found that it had corrupted the registry so badly that it wouldn't boot. Windows Rescue crashed as well and couldn't repair it. I tried rolling back to a previous restore point but that crashed as well. Eventually rolling back four restore points fixed the problem. No more AOMEI software for me EVER.

Aomie write good software, I use their partition software regularly to reformat >32GB SD cards to FAT32 for the car, camera, dashcam etc.
