Virgin Money Street of Light, Edinburgh
The Virgin Money Street of Light is a breathtaking new event set to light up Edinburgh’s Old Town this Christmas. From St Andrew’s Day to Christmas Eve, an architectural installation of over 60,000 lights will run along the Royal Mile, from City Chambers to the Tron Kirk. Enter this stunning canopy of light and watch the lights synchronise to music sung by choirs from across Edinburgh.
Money Street of Light:
The Virgin Money Street of Light is free, but ticketed. Tickets are available here. Everybody will need a ticket to enter the event, including babes in arms.
If you have registered for tickets, but not yet received your confirmation email, please check the spam folder in your email account.
You can access the Virgin Money Street of Light via the west of the city, from the George IV Bridge end of the Royal Mile.
Performances are at 6.30pm and 8.15pm Monday - Saturday and 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Sundays.
Each performance will last between 17 - 20 minutes.
The event is outside.
Please dress accordingly for winter weather. Performances will go ahead if it is raining or snowing. Performances will only be cancelled in the event of very adverse weather conditions. Information on cancellations or delays to performances will be available on Facebook and Twitter
Children and babies are welcome. Please be aware that the Virgin Money Street of Light is an audio visual experience and will feature amplified music and flashing lights.
Public toilets can be found at Hunter Square and Castlehill.
