Do you leave your reusable shopping bags in the car ready for your next shop?
Do you always forget to take them into the shop when you get there and then have to buy more like I do?
Try this little hidden trick on google - on your mobile search for "shopping bag reminder" in Google.
This will give you a popup reminder box allowing you to set by time or location. simply type the name of the supermarkets you use and their location or postcode and whenever you are near you get a reminder to take your bags in.
hope it helps someone.

You know parts of the brain shut down if you don't use them, it's like old married couples where one becomes incapable of driving in later life because the other person is perceived to be better at it and always does it. Do you really want Google to do your thinking for you?

I'm a dum ass and keep forgetting to take my bags into shop then rant to myself at tills. I balance my express ready meals plus supplies and walk like I soiled myself in a bid to make it back to the car. Im to tight to cough up 5p for a bag plus the... Save the planet and all that... Will try this trick.

Am I missing something? Surely if you're near the supermarket, it's already too late to remind you?

It's not, apart from letting Google know your every move and shopping habits, it's more spyonmeware....than reminderware.....

The reminder helps get into the habit of grabbing the bags after parking the car.
Not sure why you're shooting down the idea of technology helping people. Have you ever used an alarm clock?

You leave the bags in the car (all the time) and when you arrive it'll notify you to actually take them in.

Except if you are the forgetful type, you've already forgotten to put them back in the car after you last shopped. LOL.

but surely you'll need a reminder to remind you to place the bags back in the car once you've used them because of being reminded to and taken the shopping in to the house in them

Do you need "location" switched on for this ?

14 Nov 15#25
He's not saying that at all and does an alarm clock spy on you or want to know your every whereabouts....no it doesn't but Google does and that's what some people do not like and just because you might. it doesn't make it right does it....

I hope you are aware that this is not anything special? This has been a thing on google for the last year (or maybe more) - the keyword is the word "reminder" you can type in anything with that word and it will ask you if you want to set a reminder.
You can also say things like "remind me to do X when I get home..." and it will set up a remind for a location of home (assuming google knows your home location, which is only likely if you have an android device).
It is part of the fantastic "google now" experience that Google offer linked with their Android phones.

I live next door to the supermarket. Will this remind me to take the bags each time I arrive home?
Ow, and by the way, I DO leave the bags in my car. When I go shopping, I put all the groceries in my car, go for a ride round the block and hope that the parking spot remains available when I get home.

You mean to say that in the above scenario you just take out 5p from your pocket and you're done?

I put my bags in my handbag?. i walk though. If you are at the supermarket for just a few items, can you not shove the bags in your handbag too?. i use them ones that fold up into a pocket type thing  Half of its too do with maybe just jumping into your car, and not thinking before you leave the door?. for me it's coat, boots, phone, handbag, carrier bags.
