Seriously bad info given out here on first aid. Please look at Red cross or St John Ambulance for first aid training. Don't listen to me, but check these guys out if you seriously interested.

Thanks OP. It's good of others to recognise that whilst this is useful, it doesn't forego the need for practical demonstration using an "Annie" resuscitation dummy as part of the practical exam needed to pass and become a fully-qualified first aider. Usually a proper first aid course is 3 intensive days and requalification is a 2-day course after the initial 3-year validity of the qualification. You would also need to have an annual refresher of at least half a day course to remain safe and competent.

So what is the purpose of their certificate? How strange!

Good find for what it is, but be aware of what it isn't. They're upfront in the disclaimer:
If you were, say, to list this certificate on a job application you could end up in all sorts of trouble. If your employer made you a named first aider on the basis of this certificate, and something went wrong, your employer's insurers may well hang you out to dry, seeking to avoid liability on the grounds that you deceived them.
Heat added, all the same. The more people learn first aid, the better.
