What Spurs v Quarabag?
Even the most ardent Spurs fan wouldnt compare that to the El Clasico or Old firm games.

Really cold deal, this type of game used to be free anyway on ITV last season. BT bought all the rights and made most of the games subscription only on BT Sports, so compared to last season what we're getting is much worse. Making only a few of the champions league matches free to air (as opposed to half of them last season) isn't a good deal in any sense of the word.

I prefer BT having all the rights to Champions League. For an extra £5 a month compared to last year, I can watch ANY champions league game on the TV and/or on my phone using their app. Their enhanced player on the app is actually brilliant. I've not got the HD addon but not too bothered about that. Only downside is having to put up with Michael 'Monotone' Owen.

Better some than none mate. The future of football is unfortunately behind a paywall.

Well firstly it's not a deal it's a freebie. And yes the champions league "deal" isn't as good as last year, but that's the post so you need to look at things like this in the context of now, on the basis that you can watch these games at home even if you don't have a BT sports subscription it's a good freebie.

Always amused me that Spurs and Arsenal fans (Spurs fans in particular, Arsenal fans less so) think the world regards this as equal to likes of Real v Barca, Celtic v Rangers and the country stops to watch. I don't know anyone with any interest at all anywhere Ive been in the North or midlands.
London's probably different, but even there, a West Ham mate of mine says it isn't any more interest than in just checking score, like is for every other game

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that about the North London derby. It's a rivalry, sure, but no more prestigious than any other derby.
