I just bought a new ipad instead and gave the mini 2 to next door
Shame you need ios 8. my boys ipad mini 2 is stuck on 7 as there is never enough space on the pathetic 16gb drive to upgrade it and I can't be bothered to install itunes

Ios9 has a much smaller upgrade than 8 needed. You know you can delete apps off and then redownload them again with no charge?

did you know if you upgrade it through itunes (by plugging the ipad into your laptop) it 'swaps' the iOS rather than downloading a second one, so you should be ok to do it this way
