I do my own winter checks as Halfords will find something wrong :wink: But this is good for anyone who doesn't know how to do these basic jobs :laughing: Heat added :wink:

Seemed to be all winter last year as well as the free screen wash. I was told my battery was low....ignored and seems fine still. It's perhaps due a replacement.

the screenwash is all year round with the summer check and winter check.
a couple 9f months ago my light came on the dashboard saying screen wash wash empty. popped into halfords to but some and saw the sign for summer check and screen wash topping up free. so i took the offer up and when he started filling up the screen wash he said is it empty i said no but it took 5ltrs to fill it.up.lol

I would never touch Halfords again since they damaged my car they were supposed to be repairing

Most important thing for winter is tire tread depth, but halfords don't check that.. wonder why? :wink:

Halfords damaged my car too during an MOT & service! Managed to completely rip off the gear stick surround, snapping the fixing and trying to pretend I wouldn't notice when they used tape to try and stick it down! Was not impressed at all, especially as I had to go back twice to get it fixed as they had to break the chrome topper to replace the surround! They also didn't do the wheel alignment right when they replaced the suspension arms, leaving the car pulling to the right. Will not be going back that's for sure!!
