Nice little reduction, down by around another £8 on the global version. Dropping nicely. You'll need to use code max2sev logged in at checkout

This has been out a while. You're probably thinking of the Mi Mix 2, which is more than double the price.

It's mix versus max.

Mi Max3 is due, or has just come out (I forget exactly), so this is the discount time to clear old stock. Decent phone if you dont want the "New Model" bragging rights; but then people dont buy Xiaomi for bragging rights (other than "haha! you paid HOW much??!!").

This Mi Max 2 came out in May/June and the original Mi Max came out May of last year. The Mi Max 3 is not due in the foreseeable future so no, this isn't discount to clear old stock.

My mistake then, I received an email from Xiaomi last week about a model launch; I was sure it was a new Mi Max model. Brain meds are making me a but fuzzy............
OK went for a quick rummage and found an announcement for a Mi MIX 2 being launched; not sure what a MIX is, but there you go.

Mix = Xiaomi's "bezel-less" flagship phones Max = Essentially a larger version of the Redmi Note 3/4 (Snapdragon) that came before it

Can someone clarify the meaning of all those Global or International versions?
It doesn't support Band 20 which is widely used in EU and Russia.
Unless the seller or Xiaomi defines Global by excluding those countries...
"Global Version" = Official Xiaomi naming. They are versions sold outside of China. Usually the Singapore/Indonesia/Malaysia market versions. Pre-installed with Global ROM. All "Global Version" Redmi phones so far have had B20 but not all Mi phones do. Mi A1, Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix 2 have B20 versions whereas the "Global Version" of Mi Max 2 and Mi 6 lack B20.
"International Version" = Gearbest naming. Not official. It refers to what AliExpress sellers would call "Global ROM" version which are the China market version flashed with Global ROM by seller and don't have B20. Since the words "international" and "global" can be considered to be interchangeable, some other sellers like Honorbuy have Redmi Note 4 Global Version< titled as "International" even though on Gearbest, "International" is different. So because of inconsistency with Xiaomi's "Global Version" phones and also because of differences in seller naming conventions, the exact meaning of each is blurred.

Please can anyone advise me what delivery I should take, and if customs would apply (depending on delivery option)? Never ordered from this site before and I heard much horror stories.

I pre-ordered a Redmi Note 4 4GB/64GB but delay in shipping by banggood. I dont think slightly larger is a problem. Please sell me why I should cancel the Note 4 and go for this deal. thanks in advance

All down to screen size, can you cope with a 6.44 inch screen
we have the mi max 1 and the Redmi note 4, I need the larger screen for my eyesight - both are excellent phones
I now use aliexpress as I like their tracking and stock protection, I'd use gearbest at a push but not for presale or brand new models, and I wouldn't use any of the rest.
