I think what @sparklehedgehog was getting at, is that there could be better deals on the way. I'm holding out for just a little longer to see if the price drops a bit more.

It's the games that make this a bargain 2 brand new game's that would cost you £90on there own plus the other 2 making the console around £110 be hard to beat but you never no

Problem is you wouldn’t pay stupid money just for the sake of it unless you’re thick and can’t wait a week or two for a better deal once informed that these companies can do those prices would you....

Well worth getting, I could sell my other Xbox one to reduce the cost of this one, or pay £40 more for the 1tb option Heat added

Question about online game play..
Is it true that you can't play online with random players without paying for the Xbox Live Gold membership?
Is it a similar scenario on the PS4 where you have to pay extra before you can play online with random players?
Spitroast2006 to TheDealMonster

Correct. You'd need a live gold account to play anyone online. Search deals on here usually find 12 months for around £30

Yes. You need to pay. Xbox is lame for that reason. Whereas ps4 you don't need to.and then Microsoft wonder why they where doing so lame against ps4

PS4 you need plus to play online but for a much higher price lol. (PS3 you don't need it to play online)
Xbox live is as cheap as £24 a year and have had a much better release of free games. So to be honest Xbox live is a much better option out the both.

With the Xbox one X being released next month, there should be better deals coming.

People interested in buying an Xbox One or Xbox One S (if those people still exist :P) should hold off until Xbox X gets released. Companies are desperate to shift these now - after Christmas will be even cheaper. I don't think I've turned on my Xbox One for about 8 months now!

Yes Hivanh91 those people do still exist, they're called mums and dads who have more than one child and haven't got £500 for the new Xbox X

Good deal. I'm after fifa 18, forza 7 and a new controller. Might as well pay the extra ton and get another console and couple other games too.

I'm not a gamer so have no clue ! However my 7 year old has an xbox 360 he enjoys , and has had for a couple of years now . I like the fact I can buy games for £2   if Santa got him this machine , would in your opinions make it a much better gaming experience ? Tbh the Xbox 360 graphics look awesome to me , but I'm comparing it to my commodore 64 ! :joy:

TBH if he is just playing games like Minecraft and the Lego games then there probably isn't much difference at all tbh playing them on a 360 or a XB1.
Unless he has asked for it I'd just stick to the £2 games and get him (or yourself!!) something else.
If he's asked for it though then go for it as he'll go mental for it but may be worth holding off as I reckon better deals will be coming in the run up to Christmas and with the release of the Xbox One X too.

Yes it would be better and the Xbox One S is backward compatible with many Xbox 360 titles so you will Not have to rebuy them if they are on the list, it also runs the 360 titles better than the originals. It also has an Ultra HD Blu-ray player built in, so if you decide to get a 4k TV at some point you can watch films at the best quality.
Who?

The second hand market will be interesting when the one x is released.

Good deal... I recently took advantage of the Argos offer, with the 10% discount code, and after selling Forza7 and FIFA18, only paid about £116 for a new XB1S and Forza Horizon 3. Bought Quantum Break separately for £13. Not a bad deal for £129 all-in.

I have the Xbox s, mainly use as a 4k / blu ray player. Was access and gold are decent, but can't see me ever spending£30+ on a game. Those poor mugs spending £40+ on FIFA each year...
