I can recommend the elite controller, makes shooters a lot better, but take some advice and buy an extended warranty, I had mine about a year and one set of buttons on the back have failed and the skin on the hand grip has come loose!

Such a shame. I repair these controllers after both of mine developed faults.. Microsoft really skimped on quality considering it was advertused as an "elite" pad for "pro gamers". It features the same internals especially thumb sticks as the standard controller which unfortunately wear out after about 12 months.. Ironically Microsoft only give a 12 month warranty with the controller and they wont help when the pads fail after 12 months! Scuf are better controllers imho. Great deal with the game against retail tho.

Pathetic. Microsoft refused to fix mine after 12.5 months.
The truth is that there is no controller on the market that feels as premium as this, and it is genuinely no exageration to say that going back to another controller feels like picking up some cheap plastic toy.
However, the majority of the internal parts of not manufactured to a higher standard, they are just as likely to break, and the warranty provides no additional protection.
Note that with an EU 2 year warranty, every Elite controller ever manufactured should still be under warranty, unless it has been voided. And here I am 11 months after the first one broke, and the second one has gone now, too.
I could justify the second in a deal. I will struggle to justify a third. But, make no mistake, it feels like nothing else on earth.

I've had an elite controller with a fault after 13 months and Microsoft would hang up when I attempted to call them regarding a repair or replacement. Ended up buying another on offer which has been fine since. Maybe I just got unlucky the two times I tried to call.

I've bought xbox one elite 1tb from tesco for £189 last year and sold this controller because these bottom flap buttons are useless. These are not extra function buttons as I expected but they can be only mapped as one of the standard ones such as a b x y. The only thing I loved about it was the weight of it and fantastic protective case.
I've got the white one with Bluetooth now and for me it's the best one I've ever had. This is my personal opinion though. Still think this deal is quite good so have some heat

My elite pad first had the left shoulder button come loose, it is attached on the right hand side but the left is completely loose. It is attached to the controller but can be non responsive 5% of the time, i would never use it for online gaming. Also the grip coating on the back of the pad on the right hand side is coming up/off the pad.
Not having much luck this gen with pads, both my day one controller and my extra controller developed left drift issues as well. The pad would just go left on screen for no reason at all.
Still a hot offer though, if forza was a digital code then i would buy up a replacement. Currently using pad#4 that came with my xbox s.

I don't have a receipt and it is out of warranty as well. My power brick on my day one console decided it was going to roar at random, really loud, whinning noise. Contacted MS and i had to pay £42 for a new power brick. My plan was to trade in my day one console for a xbox X. But i have spent £42 on a new power supply and i would have to lob in a controller as well. Think the trade in value is £80 at game last time i checked for used console.
Think you only get play anywhere with digital copies, no code inside for pc.

They need to make a Bluetooth version of this, with my original Xbox one (with a large room and cabinet) I get intermittent disconnects from the controller due to distance, don't get it with an S model (with Bluetooth controller) in another room.
