Good deal but Eastwood is along way from the Peak District though! its actually a very grim little northern town.

Agreed. It's ridiculous the way some hotels promote themselves as being "near" an attractive part of the country when they're actually situated in a totally different and far less pleasant area. Anyone staying at Eastwood Hall wishing to "explore the Mam Tor circular walk, easily accessible from Edale or Castleton" will be faced with a 90 mile round trip!
It's dishonest, bordering on fraudulent to advertise like that.

if you book this, remember: ‘You've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?’.

booking.com has the hotel at £69/night, includes breakfast. So, £40 dinner (mains are approx £12-£15 each) makes this maybe a little humid, but not scorching.
