Wasn't fibbing, mine are all 3 years as i bought them from Anylamp. Assumed it was manufacturers warranty, couldn't be bothered to check.
The faulty bulb was due to damage in transit. And i know as i have a Yeelight bulb in the upstairs landing.
lol at the defence of his poor quality bulbs.... too funny
Anyway done here. Can't be bothered to argue with you, this guy sums it up best. note that the yeeligh only wins one category... price... lol
and p.s doesn't matter where they're made, it's the money invested in design and cost per item to manufacture that's important. Enjoy your off colour dull bulbs..

2 years now, well regardless, Yeelight still cheap inferior rubbish, best avoided.
Philips just replaced a bulb i had just asked for serial number, i didn't even need to return it.
If you want an alternartive to HUE go for LIFX
If you're happy with your crappy sweatshop bulbs then fine, no need to post in each and every hue thread

Getting desperate now, i see lol. And not thinking straight. First you state Yeelights are cheap (we agree on summat!) and inferior rubbish (how could you possibly know??) then go on to say you've had to get Philips to replace one of your bulbs! Expensive rubbish? You literally couldn't make it up.
You've been found out fibbing and gone all immature on me. Hilarious. .
PS I'd be very surprised if Hue bulbs aren't made in the Far East. Of course, I'm not stupid enough to state they will be made in a sweat shop, that's potentially libellous. Last time I looked, Xiaomi were a bigger company than Philips (not to mention Sony). Engage brain, calm down, post. Easy...

Yeelight bulbs nowhere near as bright by some 200 lumens and time will tell if they will last 25,000 hours like these bulbs are guaranteed for. Philips typically replace any defective bulbs without quibble.
you pays your money and you takes your choice

You got a link where it shows Hue bulbs are guaranteed to last 25000 hours?

Search for yourself, it's a 3 year warranty, which equates to ~25,000 hours. I mean, they can't really tell how many hours you've actually used can they, however just speak to their customer services if you have an issue, on the odd occasion a bulb has failed they sent me a new one.
from experience, Philips bulbs usually last much longer than the quoted 25,000 hours. Most of the time it's closer to 50,000 hours
Also, most LED bulbs lose lumen output the more they're used.. and chromaticity, the Yeeligh bulbs already start off with a output deficit, and will most likely deteriorate to even worse output as you continue to use them, and the colours will be affected...whereas the Philips bulbs usually maintain their original output and chromaticity through their entire life cycle.
As always, you get what you pay for, admittedly you may also pay a little more for the brand, but the quality is worth it.

Err, wrong.....why make it up when it's so easy to check? Guaranteed for 25.000 hours? Behave. Also looks like you have to return the faulty device at your expense (plus insure it as it's 'worth' 50 quid) before they will replace it.

Agreed. I got a Yeelight Colour to test out how good they are and so far have been completely unable to add it to my network. The Yeelight support forums haven't been much help other than suggesting it's a problem with router/ISP but I can't believe I'm the only person that's tried using them that has BT for their ISP! From looking around their forums a lot of people have issues with the Yeelights losing connection or not been able to add them - not so good if you want to schedule them or control them remotely.

BT Fibre 2 user here with Home Hub 5 and no problems once I'd read the instructions (I'm not good at reading instructions being male!). Download the Yeelight (and/or Mi Home) app, turn the bulb on then off (with 2 second pause) at the switch 5 times, bulb starts going through the colours, click Add Device on the app, choose your wifi router from the drop down list then hold the phone with the app on it close to the bulb (not the router) and a few seconds later it should be connected. I've done this with 7 Yeelights so far and no probs at all. Works great with my Echo as well.

Exactly! Been through all that and no luck connecting :disappointed: As I say I know it shouldn't be anything to do with router/ISP - in fact I have exact setup you have - so not sure what the problem is... although neither do their support yet

Weird. Perhaps try it at a friend's house? Another idea - turn off smart set up on the hub 5? Worth a try...
Never used smart setup, was first thing I turned off  Will try it at someone's sometime and see if it's any good for them.

Agreed. And that's for the RGBW 16 million colour bulbs whereas these hues are white only! Once you know about Yeelight, Philips Hue seem even more ridiculously overpriced than initially thought.

I imagine there will be a permanent reduction soon with Philips hub deals due to Amazons new echo plus not requiring them so people will just want the bulbs.
