When I ordered my first 21:9 (happened to be an LG) monitor I was overall impressed. Being the same resolution as this it wasn't too bad at the time with my GTX970. But it was the lack of vertical height which eventually pushed me back to a 16:9 27" 1440p. My Son uses it and he does love the aspect ration and not bothered at all about the height.
I have just ordered another UW but this one is a 34" 3440x1440 with a VA panel and it is curved. My Ti1080 should be fine with it.
To me it is the only time having a curved screen makes sense, wit ha monitor. With an IPS panel that is more so as it angles the corners and edges towards you to minimise the IPS glow. This is a good buy and hopefully you will get a good panel, although that can be a lottery. LG customer support were not good when I needed them when I had my monitor.

People always have to have their say when it comes to resolution, don't they?

I know this is £100 more, but how does this Iiyama 34" compare to this LG?

OOS now, but it would have been much better considering the resolution.

I bought this the last time this deal was up - phenomenal monitor for the price. Personally the resolution is absolutely not an issue and actually makes more sense for my 1060. In other words I cannot see each pixel etc but, hey, you might have super-human vision!

Good price but the DPI is just too low for me personally. If it was 1440p it would be an instant purchase!

ideal for those of us who sit 90cm away instead of 60cm.
Its so cute when ppl try to sound smart but actually just come off as showing that they have never used a 1440+ screen

I've got a 3440 * 1440 34" ultra wide screen which I upgraded from a 5 year old 27" 2560 * 1440 screen. Having upgraded I'd find it harder to downgrade to 16:9 over this resolution. I'd would definitely choose this over a standard 1440 monitor if I were on a budget due to the extra FOV it provides and the overall improved immersive experience. Have you ever used an ultrawide monitor or are you just showing your lack of experiencing a 21:9 monitor.

I have this monitor, and have used 1440p on a 16:9 and can confirm that the extra FOV and high refresh rate > some more unobservable dots on the screen. If you want 21:9 at around this price point the resolution is by far and away the best compromise to make, particularly as driving a 1440p ultrawide at reasonably high settings and fast refresh rate requires a minor behemoth of a PC.

For me as I only game on PS4, I would prefer 1440P although this price is tempting. I'd need to see the resolution and compare.

It makes so much more sense now that you made it sound posh, old sport.
