With the voucher entry to Alton Towers works out at £27 cheaper than the advanced online booking price, and you don't have to decide on a date beforehand , just turn up on the day and present your voucher at the ticket booths
We go every years either Scarefest or the Fireworks weekend and really enjoy it. We always get some sort of offer usually a 2 for 1 or sometimes Tesco Vouchers, overall at the prices we pay I don't think it's too bad a day out. Wouldn't pay their ridiculous gate prices thou, Does need updating as nothing has really changed for quite a few years now thou . As far as I am aware they have always charged for parking £6 I think, problem is thou it's always mad trying to get out of the car park near closing time.

Don't bother, went Alton Towers last week. Nemesis and Galactica broken down for hours. When got on Nemesis eventually, it was making all sorts of worrying noises. Most of the rides really look in bad repair, rusty, dirty, rickety, with regular break downs. And to top the day off, two of us got food poisoning from the burger place in the Forbidden Valley. They charge for parking too. Really enjoyed it 10 yrs ago, not a a patch on what it used to be.

Looks like we have a typical Daily Mail reader over here.
The rides are incredibly safe, with an almost impeccable safety record. Nemesis is an old coaster which is thoroughly reviewed and checked on a daily basis. If the ride goes down (or Tec), Technical Services come over, check it, fix it and run empty trains BEFORE any guests is allowed on board. The noises are perfectly normal.
Galactica on the other hand, is not so much the ride hardware, it's the VR headsets & systems causing untold problems.

Get over yourself captain obvious. I never said they were not safe, so no idea why you bothered with that drivel.
Just sharing my experience of the place last week, comparing it to sveral years ago to now.
