Here is a great value (it really is!) 16 night holiday to Orlando for Christmas, leaving Manchester on 11th December and returning on 27th (landing back on 28th December). The flights are with BA and have a short stop in Philadelphia and the flights are sub £300 which is great value.
The hotel is the Rosen Inn, there are a few and this one is close to Universal and is rated 4/5 on TripAdvisor. There are cheaper hotels out there, but this one has good reviews and is in a good location, but you can change this.
I've included the ticket package for 14 days for Disney, Universal and SeaWorld. This gives you a couple of non-pass days, although you could hire a car and look at doing non- theme park activities.
4.5K to go and see and overgrown rat, 20ft tall gingerbread houses, stand in queues, organise with military precision your Christmas, sorry 'Happy Holidays' dinner and then the park closes through overcapacity. No thanks. I'll be staying at home this Christmas.

So is the park really worth 2500?

No way. We paid £350 per person for 14 days unlimited Disney. You can't go to all the parks every day

We went family of 3 last year stayed on disney itself all the dining plan in etc, cost 10k total with spends in and everything but was worth every penny, I'd 100% rather pay that kind of money and go to disney once every 5 years than spend 2k and go to some European beach location all inclusive every year. Complete different class of holiday in my opinion.. Everyone's different though

Wow, never spent that much on a holiday in my life!!
We go to cancun every year and it’s 5k + would never go back to Disneyland most stressful holiday I’ve ever had.

What a strange comment, been 7 times, where exactly is the stress? If you're worried about driving over there, use a SatNav. I really can't think of anything that else that you might find stressful. It's not a restful holiday to be fair, but stressful? Hardly.

My option just like a relaxing beach holiday tried it wasn’t for us the kids crying with the heat and the walking in the parks. Not slating it just not our type of holiday.

If you do this holiday, get The Magic Kingdom out of the way ASAP as it'll only get busier the closer to xmas and that park is by far the busiest of any of them. Never, ever do Magic Kingdom on a weekend.
The Harry Potter worlds in the Universal park are phenomenal (there is absolutely nothing like the Gringots Bank ride anywhere, it's the best family ride in the world in my view) but be prepared to spend through the nose if your kids want wand+robe fitting. I believe they're going special Christmas events at Hogwards/Diagon Alley this year.
Be aware that the weather in December in Florida varies to a massive degree. It can be very warm or it can be literally freezing. Pack some cool weather clothes just in case. Last year I went and there was one cold day, one baking hot day but the rest was really pleasantly warm.
Parking is $20 a day at all parks, be sure to take that into consideration for costs.
If you have never heard 'Feliz Navidad' before, expect to have the lyrics memorised by the time you get home. America loves that song.

That is for 2 adults 2 kids. Universal are far better parks imho. Wouldn't bother going to just do Disney

You can just get the Disney tickets and pay much less if you don't intend to visit parks for the whole time. It's worth weighing up exactly what you want to see and do as the tickets are so expensive. Don't pay for two weeks if you don't need 14 days.

Enjoy it whilst you can.
If we end up with Corbyn this type of holiday won't exist from the UK anymore with capital controls and resulting collapse of the currency and economy. The £ is already 20% down since Brexit vote.
The parks are expensive we just book the ones we want to do. For a family of 4 it's around £390 to do magic Kingdom if you book via the US site. Universal is about £340, Seaworld similar. Only worth doing multi Park and days if that is all you are going to do.

Good effort finding this. Not ideal dates as others have said and changing flights and hanging about airports etc is a real pain. I love Disney and Universal, could not fault anything about either of them. We always go at Easter time, weather is decent and parks tend to be a bit quieter if you time it right.

Don't know why this is hot, you can get 2 weeks, 2A & 2C at the same hotel with Thomas Cook from Manchester on the 25th November for £1480. It's a better time to go, after thanksgiving but before xmas/new year and the flights are direct.
The parks are very busy at xmas/new year.

Good prices, no ATOL protection which is a downside. Flew to florida once with Monarch, would hate to have a holiday cancelled if another company goes bust. Disney/universal tickets are expensive £600 per person. Although going up by £50 a person for next year - Brexit!! We have been three times, last two times stayed in a Villa, wouldn't do a hotel again, too cramped. Saw a flight+villa for £700 per person (4 people) which isn't bad. Unfortunately college+uni will mean this deal isn't for us. voted hot.
