It's not flac but it's very good I found when I uploaded my flac files and then streamed seemed really good still. On chromecast audio plugged into an amp (enable full dynamic range in Google home app) that really makes a difference. But if it hasn't got an amp just a powered speaker don't do this will sound naff.
Basically yes it's good can download to your phone in a higher quality it want. If use Chromecast audios can use an optical out cable to amp.

We have been preferring this over Spotify, I like the fact you can upload your own songs and the other half likes the radios/playlists better. So we switched our family plan over some time ago.
However there's an annoying bug on the web app at the moment, trying to reorder your playlist refreshes the page after every move, makes it impossible. Been reported to Google countless times on their help forum but they don't seem to care.

Interestingly enough I've had a google a/c for many years and had the free trial offer in the past (Couple of years ago now) but it's letting me get 3 months free again so not just for new a/cs.

Another FYI on a Play Music thread... if you already have large music collection, Play Music allows you to upload 50,000 tracks to the cloud for unlimited streaming for free :smile: Use Google Play Music Manager to keep your music library in sync with the cloud and your full library will appear in the app or online.

Yeah, but only for a very select few. I keep an eye on all of these GPM threads when they come through and a handful of people manage to get their old accounts to work, but very, very few. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that the vast majority get that error message.
As an asise, I'd be intrigued to know what it is about certain old accounts that enable them to be used for more than one of these promos.
