This isn't a new deal. It's a reminder of the fabulous access to ebooks for anyone with a Welsh library card. The Welsh Government takes reading and education seriously keeping more libraries open per person than in England, they also fund the Ebook Wales library. You can borrow up to 10 books from 1 day to 21 days. Most of the modern best sellers get in the catalogue eventually eg The girl on the train, Divergent trilogy etc but brand new releases missing, wish new Paula Hawkins was on there.
So if libraries are so great in Wales why would anyone want to borrow ebooks? I for one love ebooks, I love knowing I've got the next book ready to go anywhere on my kobo or husband's nook, the format is ePub or pdf. There are apps with links on homepage to enable you to download quickly to iOS or android devices .
Best thing about ebooks....you can alter print size so you don't fall asleep with glasses on
I do hope this is of use to someone . There is a similar scheme for AUDIOBOOKS.

My local library here in England offers ebooks and emagazine facilities ( along with a really good fablab with 3D printers, laser cutters and a vinyl cutter not that that has anything to do with books of course  ) , its worth checking your libraries web site to see what facilties are on offer.
