Great price. I'll get Fifa 18 next year when it's this price too. Sod paying £40+ a pop for a mediocre upgrade each year.

Worth it if you haven't played the first part of The Journey.

If people are desperate to play FIFA 18 this year then there will be people selling voucher codes that come with consoles around November/ December. I purchased FIFA 17 last December from a seller for around £17. Would never dream of paying £40 for this.

It is worth it for playing online if you aren't an Ultimate Team addict. I just got it and there are around 10k people on online seasons (not FUT) each night.

Only want 18 for the journey, will wait for the vault. This is a decent price for 17, first FIFA game I've played since 2005 or so.
Like with football manager, best to skip 3 or 4 years.

I agree that this price is amazing for casual players, why pay £40?! But for those that play FUT, online matches and pro clubs, the £40 for FIFA 18 is amazing value, considering the hundreds of hours players put into it.
Fifa is in that bracket with the likes of COD and GTA. Have enough friends on your friend list and you're guaranteed to have a few that you see on said games every single night. Sure, they are missing out in terms of wider gaming experience, but the value they are getting is crazy! :sunglasses:

I disagree. Sure, it's great having mates playing FIFA but FUT is the same cash cow, year in, year out with only slight modifications for each yearly rehash.
I just don't get the appeal of potentially spending ridiculous amounts of real life money whilst trying to get a half decent team, only to play somebody who's spent even more and has the best of everything which then forces you to spend even more to keep up.
If anything, it's gambling at its finest.

I agree as someone who has never spent anything on FIFA points. You can still compete up until the highest divisions though, but I can't fault this comment. That's why I play pro clubs the most these days, because dropping out of division one (as people have ridiculous squads they couldn't possibly have achieved through grind alone) does get old after a while! :muscle:
Still, for someone that will put 200 hours + into the game the price per hour would be much better than, say, a game that gets completed in 15 hours and then never touched again.

Yeah, I see your point, mate. I've never really played Pro Clubs but I reckon I should try but I'll probably get my butt kicked, haha. Each year when I buy it for around this price, I always go for Manager Mode and that gives me dozens of hours of gameplay
