Very good deal for the convenience factor, but at full price you are better off using a recipe for microwave mug chocolate cake..its dead easy and costs pennies... just flour, egg, sugar, butter and chocolate from what I remember. I've not made one in a few years but I used to be able to make them in under five mins when I was more practiced.

Hmmm. must try that... Whisk 1/4 cup flour, 5 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 1
egg, 3 tablespoons milk, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and a dash of
vanilla extract and salt in a large mug until smooth. Microwave until
puffed, about 2 minutes. foodnetwork.com/rec…697

Be sure to try it! You get a lovely hot moist mug cake that's sticky in the middle. Honestly, they are really nice! I think I used that recipe too but judged it by eye after I'd got the hang of the ratios. I sometimes used to drop a couple of squares of real chocolate in the mix too, so you get lovely molten chocolate in the middle. Then I got fat and stopped eating cake pmsl. :joy:

we bought 3 for £1 2 weeks ago, tried chocolate chip and it was revolting, cross between a part cooked yorkshire pudding and a dumpling, even my dog wouldn't eat it.

I hope 'even my dog wouldn't eat it' is a figure of speech and you didn't actually fed chocolate to the dog.

Here’s a better recipie: 2 tablespoons each of coconut oil, ground almonds, coco powder and sweetener of choice (I use Truvia), one egg, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp vanilla. Beautiful!

My verdict for what it's worth - the chocolate ones are really nice and moist but the plain one with choc chips (and no sauce) is way too dry and stodgy.
