It's back! Super popular last time around, BT have done a solid and offering up the following;

Unlimited minutes, Unlimited Texts and 20GB 4G Data + Extra Speed for £16PM as a BTBB customer, otherwise it's £21PM. PLUS, you get a £90 iTunes/ Amazon Gift voucher aswell.

If you were planning to spend some money on either iTunes / Amazon, theoretically that drops your monthly down to £8.50PM as a BTBB cust, or £13.50PM for Non-BT

The 'Get Deal' link is for Non-BT Customers. BT Customer? You can get the deal HERE

Offer expires on 26th October.

I'm wishing I'd done this now.

I was already a few months into a 20gb for £16 tariff with BT and wanted something similar for my son. I was waiting for a decent combination of allowance, price, cashback, etc and decided to go with this offer.

I realise getting TCB and the BT voucher together isn't supposed to be possible, but some people have received both, so I went via TCB anyway. However, during the order I opted to adjust my tariff and start the new one as a 'Family SIM' which means I have to start a fresh 12 month contract, and the additional SIMs are on a 30 day contract - which is ok, but I didn't realise this reduced the TCB to £7.50 :disappointed:

I'm crossing my fingers I can get the BT giftcard as £7.50 is a bit of a downer. :disappointed:

My Amazon voucher failed to show up within 45 days of claiming, so i contacted BT and also the service provider who sends out the Amazon cards. I soon received the Amazon voucher through the post. Imagine my surprise when postie delivered a second one.... The very next day! Obviously, it would have been wrong to keep so i sent one back :kissing_heart:

for those asking i was told not to move them to a family sim until my cashback and vouchers pay out.. i ordered 4 individually last time and will probably be jan before i see the cashback and vouchers.. they dont sent them out as quickly as they used too.

our sims all as good as ee speed wise (we've ee, bt and a plusnet one at same time for the last year until i moved the others ) i see no evidence of bt throttled in our area.

Yes, best to think you're going to lose day or two or pay for a couple more, unless you can time everything perfectly and number porting goes to plan.
nsdfknojansd
8 Oct 17 #103
Signal is subjective, ask for signal booster box or use wifi calling, I'm with Three because they have have the best signal when I'm travelling, they share signal masts with EE in my area, I don't get signal at home however signal box helps a lot.
Junaid26

Thanks for the response, from that explanation I gather that in essence I'll be losing a day or two of the contract I've paid for if I port out.

If you want to keep your number, you don't cancel your contract - you have to ask your provider for the PAC code - you then have 30 days to use your PAC code to move your number over to a new provider. So, it's down to timing when you come to the end of your current contract - you need to get your PAC around 30 days before current contract ends, if you don't want to continue you the current deal. You don't normally start a new contract once you go over the 12 months, most providers keep you on a rolling contract whereby you either have to give 30 days notice to end it (which would lose your number) or 30 days to transfer number to new provider using PAC code. When the PAC code is used and number transferred over, the current contract ceases.

I am with BT Infinity for many years. Good service, speed around 50 mbps.
Junaid26
8 Oct 17 #98
My initial guess would be LTE+.

Could someone please explain how transferring numbers works with contacts?
I'm new to all of this and don't understand how you'd be able to move your number out once the contract is over.
How I see it is: if you transfer too early your account closes and you've cancelled early, cancellation fees apply. If you transfer late, you've then lapsed into a new contract.
I must be missing something?

A lot of people seem drawn in by Three's offers which look good on paper at least. I took out what I thought was a decent deal. 30GB data for £18 p/m plus £96 redeemable cashback. Thought it was a bargain however, Three's coverage in the house I'm moving to is atrocious. They claim on their network coverage page that it has 'Excellent' indoor and outdoor coverage however, I barely get a signal outdoors - Internet is about 2Mbps tops. I get no data service whatsoever indoors and intermittent phone coverage.

When I called to complain they said that, because I didn't purchase my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from Three that it was incompatible with their 'Super 4G' service. They then put me through to sales who said that if I purchased a new Galaxy S8 from them then this would be compatible with their Super 4G service and, in their words, I would definitely get full bars. The contract was nearly £50 over 24 months.

Sorry, but I can't for the life of me understand how this is anywhere near accurate, so I cancelled on the spot due to their nonsense more than anything else and went with this deal. Three deals look good on paper but their customer service is absolutely shocking. This isn't the first time I've exoerienced it.

Is someone could please enlighten me on what the heck 'Super' 4G is over normal 4G I'd be very grateful because no one at Three seems to know and that's what they're trying to sell!

Yes - ordered one in August - just got paid out from TCB today. Still waiting for the voucher. Took BB & SIM in may - reward card (BB), TCB & voucher (SIM) all already paid. You may need to chase the voucher.

EDIT: That said I cannot get the voucher banner to appear when I go via TCB - TCB offers me 20GB for £16, clicking on sim only under buy our products offers 15GB for £18 with a £90 voucher.

So you just rang customer care*, the second time, and said you didn't have double speed and they offered you 25GB? This just the usual customer service number? I don't get near my current 20gb allowance with Virgin, but I'll take a free 5GB if it's going :nerd:

....just need to wait for my sim to get here/activated, before I ring tho.

*Which number you ring? Just had a look at BT's website, and couldn't find anything?

7 Oct 17 #92
I also have been given 25gb for £16 after calling back to customer services.

I originally joined last week on 15gb for £18, swapped to 20gb for £15 and then realised this was not double speed.

So when I called they offered me 25gb for £16, she did say this was a retention offer for people within their 14 day cooling off period.

So my advice to anyone just joining is to call and ask for the 25gb £16 double speed package.

Happy days!!!

After being with them for a year you seem to be able to access some great deals which aren’t visible otherwise. My 12 month SIMO contract ended in September and I had a look to see what was on offer, only to find 25 GB a month for £16 a month (I was previously on 6GB for £12). I imagine this is is similar to what this guy did.

The only catch for these lucrative deals, however, is that they tie you in to another 12 month contract. Whereas I would’ve been free to cancel any time if I stayed on my previous deal.

Ok. Which number did you call, and what exactly did you say? As I just find this hard to believe, not saying I don't believe, just that it makes no sense to me. Why would BT give you an extra 5GB? I can see them moving you over to this deal like for like, but why the extra 5GB?

I would imagine it's only for new customers, or at least those who have had a years absence/moved perhaps, as otherwise it would cost them a fortune to keep sending people vouchers.

I bought this last year and it's served me well. Noticed a massive improvement in the 4G coverage after a couple of months, and BT Sport was a great bonus. TCB tracked and paid without issue, and also got my Amazon gift cards making the whole thing about £9/month.

Took out this deal a couple of months ago when it was last on here, very happy with the service as BT/EE have the best signal where i live

However

Can anybody advise me how to speed up the delivery of my Amazon voucher, still no sign of it and my SIM was activated mid August. I sent them a message thru their online portal and the advisor told me that they would send out a 'replacement' voucher in 30 to 45 days! I replied back saying the original hasnt even been sent out, never mind a replacement! Whats next? Making an official complaint?

To be honest, BT's customer service is about as bad as i have ever experienced anywhere. Its shocking really. With them for both home broadband and mobile because of the ridiculously cheap deals i got at the time, if you think the savings are worth the stress then go for it, i'm not sure i'd be with them next year unless i get another great deal off them

Signed up for this last October and got both TCB and voucher. Also, I was snooping around the online account settings and noticed an option to change my package. I was curious as to what the options would be and it turns out I had the option to get 30gb for £20 a month. Pretty sweet!

I left EE and while I miss Visual Voicemail and speeds higher than 30mbps, in reality it doesn't affect my life too much. 30mbps is plenty fast enough! I've often considered the £4 for double speed but I've never felt it was needed.

As others have pointed out, you'll be using the EE network so that's a good indicator of what kind of coverage you'll get.

TCB has the same wording on their BT Mobile page too (under the "What will stop me getting cashback?" section). Also, when you click through to BT from either Quidco or TCB, then none of the gift card promotional material is shown (...but it is shown if you go directly to the BT website, i.e. not via Quidco/TCB).

I was told yesterday by BT that their normal 4g speeds are capped at 30mbps but 4g extra (described as being like 5g!) is capped at 60mbps. I was getting over 80mbps when I was with 3 on 4g so I've switched back to them for now. Otherwise, I found BT to be as good as any for mobile broadband speed but calls always take ten plus seconds to start dialling. I assume this is network congestion and queuing for available space? Even does it when calling a landline so can't blame the receiving mobile network for the delay. I may have been tempted to stay if offered this but the deal was the same price less any mention of a voucher.

I'm just sim only bt. Same deal as this last time it was posted. Get access to all the bt wifi zones. The hospital had one, the local sainsbury had one, they're everywhere.

If I read correctly on other threads for similar offers, you have to do them as separate orders (to get Quidco/TCB Cashback on each. You also need them to be separate orders on BT as you need separate order numbers to claim the vouchers.

I was thinking of doing something similar, did you manage to get any amazon/iTunes vouchers when you did this?

Normally you get the voucher after 3rd or 4th month.

Sorry, I meant to say would you get a voucher for each sim (so 3 x £45?) or just one voucher for the main sim?

If i upgrade my current bt sim do i qualify for the £90 gift card?

I doubt it. Think it's new contracts only.

I got almost this exact deal last year. Got the vouchers and the cashback. But I think that was £70 voucher, £90 is just amazingly hot.

Killer deal if you get both. Heat from me.

I’ve just switched 3 sims from Vodafone to BT Mobile and I have to say their coverage is absolutely shocking, they say they have the best coverage network but it’s like going back 15 years ,it’s total crap , I won’t be re

Where is this advertised, and is it only the 20gb SIM on offer, or have they upped the data allowance on the cheaper packages too?

Totally understand this is active from tomorrow, but would be good to know the full details of the offer...
