All our favorites are being reduced in size You wouldn't want to win them as a prize All our favorites are going up in price And the taste is not half as nice
But this is rip of Britain It's what we've come to expect Because we don't complain or reject They're making bigger profits and that's perfect

Not sure that these are any smaller than previous years, and realistically these sweets are really cheap compared to what they used to be . I remember when these sweets used to be expensive and my parents would have to pay weekly to an hamper or catalogue company just to get the annual tin of quality street . May have been a larger tin but a far larger price also. .I agree about the taste thou, no where near as good as they used to be

i have just finished my last box of wine gums, 460g which i got on amazon for about £9 for six boxes which was cheap then 6 mth ago, they are now 400g boxes although amazon still has the 460g boxes for £14.69 for 6 at this moment in time.

Ok fair enough but six boxes from Tesco now are only £7.50,( 7 boxes would be £9 = 2800g) so works out realistically about the same price as you paid Six months ago from Amazon ( 6 boxes £9 _ 2760g)..

Sweets should be expensive and an occasional treat.
Keep the size the same but pump the price up.

Probably doing us all a favour, this kind of junk should be taxed by gov't extra to pay for obesity on the NHS really.

Probably a good deal, however, having just checking my BMI I need to moderate as I'm into the overweight section. Wife is even worse technically obese, Think a better snack is unsalted popcorn which is going to be my favourite snack from now on, thanks anyway but I think I will avoid becoming one more of the increasingly fat people in this country and also increasing pressure on our organisations like the NHS.

If you order the 328g boxes of Roses from Tesco check the weight. I just had my delivery and they were 290g boxes. On principle I contacted CS and had the difference refunded, only 17p per box but as I said it's the principle.

Heat. I am a wine gums fan, but I am not sure my teeth and fillings would agree!

Let's see if this "deal" checks all the boxes of modern British marketing:
☑ Products have been reduced in weight or quantity since last year? ☑ Products' ingredients are inferior or of lower quality than last year? ☑ Customers still happily spending the same, or more, amount of money than last year? ☑ Customers deluded into thinking are still getting a "brilliant deal" in spite of all of the above?
Yes it does! Shareholders, celebrate!

Strangely enough just come back from Morrisons Cwmbran and The Roses (191g Morrisons), Heroes ( 185g Morrisons)and Jelly Babies (400g Morrisons) are smaller boxes there, compared to Tesco. Wine Gums & Liquorice Allsorts same price ( but you have to buy multiples of 4 ) and Quality street is the same size but if you buy 4 at Morrisons works out better than Tesco

My Tesco delivery driver is going to wonder what the hell we eat in our house...about a month ago my order consisted of tubs of sweeties, cat food and cat litter....a couple of weeks ago it was Terry's Chocolate Oranges, cat food, cat litter and Diet Pepsi (helps to wash the oranges down) and tomorrow it's going to be various boxes of sweeties, cat food, diet coke and cat litter.....
I hasten to add this is because the only way I have a chance of getting the offer is if I place an order for the day it goes live so tend to make it up with stuff that's heavy and that I can't be bothered to load in and out of the trolley in store and then out of the car again when I get home...yes I know why don't I just order the whole lot instead of shopping in-store....well got that fed up with them turning up without items and totally inappropriate substitutions that it's just easier to go to store
