Terrific film with a wonderful performance by Amy Adams. Very uplifting story makes my eyes water every time I watch it, how it did not beat out the dreadful Moonlight for best film at the oscars only the academy will know

Think you need to watch Bambi if this made your eyes water, at least Bambi is a decent movie worth watching! :unamused:

The atrocious "Moonlight" getting that award was a clear sign of politically correct insanity in Hollywood. It made 65 million......that is REAL bottom wiping quality. Dr Strange for example made 678 million 11 times more and got nowhere near an Oscar - The lunatics have taken over the asylum. And the corrupt hypocrites have taken over Hollyood and media Even this pile of steaming crap was better than that. (But then any episode of "Neighbours" is too) But Adams was so bad she should have blacked up and been in Moonlight. Her wooden acting wouldn't have been out of place there

Thanks Barry Norman lol I think I will stick to making up my own mind and this is a fantastic and intelligent sci-fi movie.

Of course ! Your own lack of taste must decide ! After watching all 5 minutes - you MUST have fallen asleep after first 3 and woken up at the last 2 with credits going up if you think this pompous tedious tripe was good ! :joy: :joy:

Great film. Thought provoking. Not sure I understood it all even after the second viewing but that me makes me want to watch it again to try to work it out. Better than 95% of the usual formulaic nonsense Hollywood churns out.

Bought it on amazon instant video, got barely halfway through and gave up. Turgid stuff

Amazed by the hate for this film. I saw it on a plane and really liked it, I'm looking forward to the rewatch. This was so refreshing compared to the sort of crap sci-fi that's being pushed this year, like Passengers. What a turd.

Up to £6.99 which is still a decent price but original deal expired.

Better to sell it as an aid to sleeplessness Pile of pompous cr*p starring one of the most overblown one dimensional "actresses" ever.

Just a side note, I think Amazon realised their price error and has fixed all the prices.
There were a few other films for £3 that it seems we missed.

If you've got prime, watch it on Amazon instant video and decide if you like it. I stopped half way through, bored stiff.
Yes, there's no macho BS running around shooting and killing etc, but a very simple concept. Enjoyed it more the second time round as it made much more sense.

Went to cinema and came out baffled. Watched again the other day then had to google the story line. I’m Still not sure if I’m thick or the films Just Pants.
